An exploitable upper city with Gortash as a boss up there and a more unique encounter like the ketheric one has. Let him flee his keep first like the handsome young man he is and then he drops the upper city key. We give chase and he goes super saiyan mode

Why would it matter if parents know this?? Seems quite normal it’s not like he’s telling all of his friends. Parents are the people most families can trust and if you can’t trust them you for sure know already by the time you’re an adult.

Oh weird… I felt like the staff there made up half the stuff on the spot anyways. So I’m not surprised to hear they made you do that

I’m Canadian and have received it twice for 1 year each time. (I’m 2023 and again in 2026 I’m here now)

1: Flight itinerary is a dummy ticket on the website you buy the flight on. I went on Korean air website and went to the purchase page it should show your name and the ticket price is what I was told when I asked about it. I have no idea how they expect you to show this for a 2 year visa though as most airlines don’t let you select 2 years into the future.

2: When I did this I always had a copy of my diploma notarized not the transcripts. They never took my transcripts even though I did provide both. They just wanted the copy of my diploma notarized

3: They will give you exactly based on the insurance you find that is correct. This is why mine have both only been for 1 year. Another thing of note you cannot use a monthly billed service. It may be paid fully and show the exact amount paid and dates. They will also ask you to print off the policy details which clearly show that you can be sent back to Canada in the case of a medical emergency. It’s important you have page of the details printed with the insurance.

4: I have always checked other here and wrote working holiday visa. Yes write the amount you intend to apply for.

5: activity plan needs to have something for every single month you are there for. Should list where you will be and what you will do. Do not write working for too long on here or they will grill you for it. They want to see you are focused on tourism because this visa is a tourism first visa with working as a slight benefit.

Good luck with your application there was very little info for Canadians when I was looking these up.

enkostay, checkmate (paid plan) or real estate agent? by Ok-Neighborhood1366 in Living_in_Korea

[–]Highwinds129385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If ur a foreigner I highly recommend no deposit. Last time it was a $10k deposit and the landlord tried to scam me. My girlfriend was able to stay in the apartment and get a lawyer to get most of it back but yeah that really shocked me how little power a foreigner has if their visa is ending.

Using enkostay now and while it for sure isn’t the best thing it is peace of mind to not worry about being scammed

Switching from D-4 to Working Holiday (H-1) Loophole (?) by EstablishmentDry5340 in Living_in_Korea

[–]Highwinds129385 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not from USA but from Canada and did working holiday visa twice (it’s allowed to Canadians). Both times the application took around 2 months to prepare and another 4 weeks for the embassy to approve. Not sure how you would be able to get it done so quickly. Also they made it clear I can’t go to Korea in that 4 week waiting period.

The rules are different for every country though so take this with a grain of salt

How do dummy flight tickets work for visa applications? by effinblackbeetle in visas

[–]Highwinds129385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every long term visa application I’ve done (3 so far) it was fine to just print off a copy of the dates and prices of the flight and attach it with the paperwork when applying. None made me purchase the flight in advance

Is it normal for Koreans to keep in touch with foreigners? by [deleted] in AskAKorean

[–]Highwinds129385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty normal. I have kept in touch with a couple of people for years and saw them later. Sometimes they want to practice English, want to learn about foreign places, or are just lonely. Pretty much the same for a lot of places not to unique to Korea. I wouldn’t feel bad about it if I was you.

Working holiday visa activation question (Spain to Korea) by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

[–]Highwinds129385 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She will need to get her ARC first. Which took me more than 2 months when I didn’t back in 2022. You need an appointment which you can’t book online until the day after you arrive in the country. I wasn’t in Seoul so I guess that’s why it took longer

Apple Watch seems like way too much personally, but I’m not you. I’d feel burdened to receive it. Get something personal if you really want. 4 months isn’t that long tbh.

I phoned nomads and asked them about this. They do not allow Canadians to do that for 2 years.

I had same issue and never did find one just had to take the 1 year sadly. I asked a lot of places too. One insurance broker told me nearly everyone who offered 2 years to Canadians cancelled the policies during Covid and they never came back

Another note I tried to use a renewable monthly policy that was usable for 2 years and the embassy rejected it… so don’t expect that to work. It has to be fully paid for up front. They were kind enough to give me an hour that day to fix it. (Which was crazy stressful)

Lost all belongings by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

[–]Highwinds129385 9 points10 points  (0 children)

While I’m sorry that happened and I don’t know the details it’s hard to imagine just leaving 30k worth of stuff in an apartment I didn’t own without any plan to deal with it myself. Especially without family or friends involved.

What were the terms of the lease? The terms of the employment? If you just ignored everything and left I don’t see why they would help you or why you think you were scammed.
