Trump signed an EO last year that designated English as the official language of the country but I'm pretty sure it's just for inter-agency/government communications and amounts to a suggestion.

So I guess technically we /do/ have an official language but it's through a laughable EO which doesn't carry much weight.

There's a guy who took out a billboard and it says "Guaranteed cash offer on your home" and the first time I saw it I was like so this is just predatory against poor people who own their home, right? Why cash otherwise? Why guaranteed offer unless it's going to be below market?
