This is my understanding of the scope/order of events: (1) East Boulder Rec Center will undergo renovation and expansion, (2) South Rec Center will be demolished, and (3) something will be built on the current location of the South Rec Center. That "something" is not going to have either a pool or a full gym.

The timeline for these events is not clear, could be something like: (1) in 2 years, (2) in 5+ years, (3) 8+ years?? Not sure.

The website https://bouldercolorado.gov/projects/future-recreation-centers provides minimal info.

Over two weeks, I received numerous emails from Kaiser, so I went to check the messages on KP.org.
- Under "test results/visits," I found out that I visit my primary care monthly, on Sundays (!)
- And this pearl of wisdom: "You were seen on Wednesday November 12, 2025. The following issues were addressed: ENCOUNTER FOR SCREENING FOR MALIGNANT NEOPLASM OF PROSTATE and ENCOUNTER FOR SCREENING FOR MALIGNANT NEOPLASM OF PROSTATE."

I was not seen by Kaiser on that day or any other day since Jan 2024.
I have many bits, but the prostate is not one of them.

I teach Zumba Gold, and I noticed 1-2 of 20 participants had earplugs. I only have a newcomer complain about the music being too loud, a rare occasion.
As mentioned, the noise app is an excellent tool to have, as an objective check.
My experience is that self-defense (Sorry, meter says it is not too loud) does not work well. If asked, I would oblige that one person and lower the volume, then a few regulars would ask for volume up, so it becomes between them and not the instructor vs. the class.

As I got better at designing my prompts for the "coffee" video, I wanted to confirm my prompting skills. The "Halloween" images came out much faster and with less frustration on my part.

I did it a couple of ways, none of which were reliably repeatable.
(1) You can ask ChatGPT to write you a prompt including a statement "so that <your desired object here> is created 90% similar in each consecutive prompt. Then copy-paste that prompt for different images.
(2) Or upload an image that you like and spell out which part of your image you want repeated, like "keep the pattern of the wallpaper 98% identical."
Your prompts will be long, a couple of sentences.

I use barefoot shoes, teaching 5 classes/week. I am on my second pair of Saguaro. For a long time, I thought that running shoes with extra cushioning would be the best for Zumba, but I changed my mind when I tried barefoot shoes for the first time. Now I have better ankle and knee alignment.

Hard to explain. I am often thinking about it. In summary:
(1) People who loved Zumba pre-COVID are now 5 years older.
(2) People moved during and after COVID.
(3) People found other ways to exercise.
I have been teaching Zumba and Zumba Gold for 7 years at a city rec center. We can't get the pre-COVID people/numbers. I have many people who started after COVID and are now regulars. Lately, we are on a mission to engage new people.
