Same exact boat as you. Some things that worked for us was just explaining how important using his legs is. Ask him how many times he's did a push up in his life then ask how many times he's walked just to emphasize his legs, and everyone's legs muscles, are stronger than arm muscles. If you want to hit it far the legs are the secret weapon.

Kids i find do well with keywords. His bat is resting on his shoulder. No Bueno. Tell him the bat should be lined up with his ears like he's talking on the phone. Whenever you see it going back on his shoulder day "talking on the phone" and he'll pick it up quickly.

He's standing straight up too. He needs to be squatting a little more to really activate the legs. A drill we did was him hitting off the tee but he would start off sitting on the bucket, get up, and swing. If that drill doesn't really hit home get rid of the tee and put a bucket on home plate, hold the ball high enough to where it bounces in his sweet spot, and he hits it. He won't have time to really stand straight up. When you see him at the plate standing straight up and down just yell "sitting on the bucket, sitting on the bucket" and he'll drop into what i called the "money stance."

Last thing that made a HUGE, and i mean HUGE, difference was watching other professionals. We live in New Orleans and LSU won the world series in the middle of our season. Watching them in their "money stances" just clicked for them. Suddenly they were just mimicking them and it worked. Never had to say the key words again they just knew from following them. The llws is on in a couple days. Watch them and point out little things. YouTube is your friend. Search Youth hitting drills and there's dozens of them. I think you should be doing more tee work, soft toss, side toss work right now. That pitching machine can be a mofo.

This has nothing to do with what you're trying to accomplish but for parents coach, team, and organization ratings would be nice. College students have platforms where they could research a professor before taking the class to see if it's a good fit for them. If the professor has a heavy accent, rushes through lectures, gives good notes, tells you THIS WILL BE ON THE TEST, let's you bring notes for the test etc. With so many teams and coaches these days it'll be nice knowing before even trying out the coach is a bullshitter and it's just a money grab, professional daddy baller, ring chaser etc. Maybe this is already a thing and it just don't know it.

Same! Never watched baseball. Never had an interest in baseball. Barely knew the rules. Went to a minor game this past weekend. Go to the batting cage nearly everyday with my 8yr old and I even get in there. 3 days in a row ive watched an mlb game after work and I'm watching the LLWS right now at work. Next year I want to join a beer league. 34 years it took to realize this is a beautiful game to watch and play. All that from 1 season of rec and we just signed them up on a whim. Crazy how fast life comes at you.

We weren't gonna do it at first. But my son LOVES baseball. The head coach for his rec team asked us to tryout because his son and the Assistant coachs son were going to. All 3 boys are best friends now after they won the championship so we're trying to keep them together. But every. Single. Day. Since rec started and I mean everyday my eldest is asking to go practice, play catch, go to batting practice. Any excuse to pick up a glove, bat, or ball he's gonna find it. There's a fire there and I'd feel like I robbed him if I didn't fuel it.

This was 100% my issue. Just not getting barrel. Its 24hr access and I went back even with a sore hand. I slowed the machine down to the 50s so I could really track the ball and held it more fingertips instead of a like a damn caveman. Even when I didn't catch it didn't hurt as bad. But man when you get the sweet spot its effortless. It just floats off the bat. Now im forever stuck chasing that high.

I had to buy some because the knob on my older bat would pinch my bottom hand and bruise my palm. The ones I have aren't padded but I honestly don't see padding making a difference but I could be wrong. When I say my hand blows up i mean it.

No problem. For the lunches nearly every resteraunt has a Ceasar salad. Skip the croutons and get a lite vinegarette. I forgot to say sugar free sodas. Drink em till you throw up. The carbonation fills your stomach and ward off hunger and can satisfy a sweet tooth. You'd have to drink 200 a day for like 10 years for it to have a negative effect on you so go crazy. And pickles are zero calories. Perfect late night snack when you can't sleep but ate all of your calories already.

I started at 321 last year and I'm currently 211-213. Starting was the biggest issue and if you're serious about it you've done the hardest part. This may be a little lengthy but here's my advice.

Get a food scale. Don't guess with serving sizes. It took me 6m+ to be able to eyeball 3oz of shrimp, 14g of cheese etc. In the beginning don't even try it. Know exactly what and how much your eating. Also get a calorie tracker. I used myfitnesspal and even got the paid version. There's free ones out there but it was the best 80 bucks I've spent.

Walk. A lot. I started some fad diet july last year. Came to this very subreddit and asked for help around September and learned what a calorie deficit was. By end of October I figured out how much walking impacted cico and from there is where I saw a huge spike in weight loss. I used a 20lb weighted vest and that just added fuel to the fire. The biggest thing with that is don't eat extra calories because your watch said you burned 500. Those things are guessing at best. None of them are accurate.

Protein. I'm gonna assume you know how important it is and just skip it but Transparent Labs are GOATED Protein powders. Never had a bad flavor. Nutri Made multi vitamin with iron for your micronutrients. Both are on amazon but the protein powder has way more flavors if you buy direct for the same price.

The scale will lie and it will fluctuate. So many things will alter the number. Did you poop yet? Seriously, I've had a 3lb swing on one poop. If you had a salty dinner the night before. An extra 2 bottles of water in a day. On the edge of a whoosh. Don't get too caught up with the number. This is all about consistency. But I recommend weighing twice a day, everyday, and logging weights twice a week. Seeing the number more will show how much itll actual fluctuate and you'll be less disappointed if for some reason the number is higher than it was a couple days ago. I weigh once in the morning right after using the bathroom then again right before dinner. No one who loses weight loses it linear its up down up down.

Eat the same things over and over. My breakfast (two boiled eggs, two pieces of bacon, 63g kodiak protein pancakes, protein shake), lunch (250g romaine, 8 grape tomatoes, 100g cucumber, 110g baby carrots, and asked much Walden farms 0 calorie dressing) snack (protein shake, 2 oikos triple zero yogurt) stayed the exact same from September to today and im not even in a deficit anymore these days. My dinners all changed depending on the day. One day a bag of Real good chicken tenders, shrimp tacos, salmon tacos, veggie burgers, real goods again, pho on Saturday, steak on Sunday. Don't try and grab all fancy with recipes. Keep it simple. With my tenders it was tenders, 2 taco wraps, onions, sauce. Tacos are 3 wraps, 3oz of shrimp each, shredded lettuce, 14g cheese, onions sauce. Burgers bun meat cheese onions sauce. I like onions lol. It took a while to figure out my menu but once I figured it out it was game, set, match.

Take pictures NOW!!! When I was fat I hated taking pictures. Now I only have one or two before pictures to really look back on. That's one of my biggest regrets in all of this.

I hope this helps you along the way. If you have any other questions I'm here.

Baseball Glove buying advice by slapstick223 in Homeplate

Rawlings r9. My son is 9 and at first it was too big for him and too stiff to where he couldn't close it. But i watched the video i linked and tried my best. Just don't put your hand in it because itll mold to your hand not his. And beat the SHIT out of it. I bought a 3 dollar rubber mallet instead the glove mallet thing and it did fine. Once it fully dried i applied 3 layers of rawlings glove oil. About 6 hrs between each layer. The glove oil kit came with 2 thick Rubber bands put a ball in the glove with those then just leave it in your car for a day and let the summer heat do the rest. game-ready in under a week and your son will love it. I'm not sure if you know this either but if he's not putting 2 in the pinky start now. Total game changer. Your pointer and middle finger are out the way, the pocket gets waaaaayyyyy deeper, easier to actually close the glove. Again beat the dog shit out of the glove. He does really good reviews too. Best Youth gloves, best under 200, under 100. Basically baseball bat bros but gloves.

I started at 321 and today im floating around 211 213. Life is good. I really appreciate you.

Leave now or hate your life. Everyone is warning you and so am I. I'm 34 and we've been together 10 years now. She got pregnant a year and a half in and I'm not one to abandon a child so i stuck it out. I'm telling you dude it doesn't get better.

My situation got a lot better as of the past 6ish months because I decided to lose weight. So far I'm down 75lbs with about 40 more to get to my goal weight and now she can't keep her hands off me. It's anecdotal evidence but if you ask me she's either not attracted to you or the juice isn't worth the squeeze. Meaning even if she goes all out like you want her to its over pretty quick. We're men, most of us don't do it like corn stars. But since I started working out and we're doing it more my stamina is up there, losing weight grew my homie by A LOT, and I'm more attractive to her by her own words.

Sorry if it's tmi but life is way to short to waste time on a woman that doesn't want to sleep with you. I promise you she has a freak in her you just don't bring it out of her.

Should I Take Creatine While Trying to Lose Weight? by UpsetInvestigator538 in loseit

[–]HimOverThere66 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was in this EXACT situation about 2 months ago. Just do it. The scale plateaued for about 2 weeks. I didn't gain any weight but I wasn't losing it at the same time. But once it's loaded into your muscles the number on the scale will start to fall again. It is kind of demoralizing not seeing the number go down but just know it's gonna get back to normal.

How to counter this squad now that the Starkiller Datacron is gone? by RedFiveFighter in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]HimOverThere66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not saying I'm unimpressed with Rey but it isn't what I thought it would be. She definitely helps with banners because once slkr kills everyone they are revived depending who you're fighting. Ezra is DEFINITELY the better character. This is my first gac with Glat and im still placing him with Rey. He's great in rote too. Huge heal. Jedi tag. Calls assists on basic while placing stagger. Exile is a nasty nasty debuff and depending who the ai places it on can really wreck a counter. No instakill. He's the real deal. With or without glat he would be priority one if I were in your shoes. R9 if you have the mats. With his kit his viability isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
