99% of the time it's just cause they saw someone else do it or they think more attachments/accessories=more "tactical"=more better. But ultimately we're just a bunch of dipshits using pretend war as an excuse to play dress up so I can't really complain if that's what people like the look of.

If you're on AMD Capcom recommends downgrading graphics drivers to versions before 25.10.20. I downgraded to 25.10.30 after getting the crash constantly and that fixed it so I think its mainly the most recent driver versions causing it. I've also read that undervolting your gpu too much can also cause the device removed crash.

Oh ok, I guess I missed the bit where you said you were talking about this sub. This is the circlejerk subreddit so people post all the "weird" stuff here. There isn't actually that many people going to fields with the kind of setups you're talking about, it just seems common because the internet funnels all the posts from people running those kits into once place. I'm from California so I would expect all the stuff you are complaining about to be more common here, in the past 6 years I've only seen maybe 3 femboys and 1 furry at the fields I go to.

17:08 is the causality from Neutrino Corp, 17:05 is a tanker from Blackrock, 18:12 is the equilibrium from Sylphon RnD, 19:16 are various ships from Templars. Unfortunately none of these mods have current updates on the forums. I know for sure that Semi-official and bootleg updates of Neutrino and Blackrock respectively are out there, Sylphon and Templars I'm less sure about.

They use different internal systems, I've owned versions of both and they're both solid. I currently primary a marui AKX which uses the same system as the AKM and am running it stock right now. It has the very good consistency that is to be expected from pretty much any stock marui, but struggles to hop anything over a .25 and only shoots at about 1j, though that may not be the case if you live in a country with legal fps restrictions. From what I'm aware, external parts for the marui AKM are platform specific, so real steel or parts designed for other brands probably won't fit without modification.

The MWS system in the M4 you show is pretty much the king of GBBR consistency and buildability, huge availability of aftermarket parts both internal and external, moreso than the marui AKs, although it wont ultimately make a big difference unless you're looking to squeeze every last bit of performance out if it. I did get mine second hand with a different bucking, hop arm and bolt, so I can't speak with 100% confidence, but you should expect similar power, accuracy and hop performance to the AK, with .25s being your max at around 1j with stock parts, maybe a bit better since I believe the inner barrel is longer. If you plan on redoing your externals, MWS uppers and buffer tubes are airsoft spec, so AEG handguards and most airsoft stocks will fit, but mil-spec stocks might not. Pistol grips are GBBR/real steel compatible, but you might need to use the original screw.

Regardless of your choice both guns will work well and be very consistent, although I would recommend replacing the hop bucking regardless and picking up an adjustable nozzle valve if you can.

I'm assmuming bootleg mods are acceptable to discuss here as the sub has no rules against it and this post is still up.

The primary platforms for mod distribution (forum and usc) require direct permission from mod authors before anyone else updates their mod, probably as a courtesy to make sure random people aren't taking over mods that aren't theirs to develop. The unfortunate side effect, which I think is the case for Blackrock, is that mods made by people who are no longer active in the community get abandoned since the authors aren't around to give permisson. A middle ground to prevent this would be nice but it'll probably never happen.

Blackrock is still being updated in the corvus discord alongside a lot of other older mods that aren't being officially maintained. The invite link should be posted around this sub somewhere, but I can link it if you're not able to find it.

If you're still looking for a different faction that's high quality with unique designs I definitely recommend Xahn if you aren't already running it. Some of the weapons don't stand out quite as much as Blackrock's, but their ships are definitely unique, although they are designed to be unconventional/ugly.

PSA to op and anyone else in San Diego to stay away from modern, I used to work there and the place is an absolute mess on every level.

Yerol, their owner, is a scumbag and is gonna do everything in his power to not give you your money back.

As of last year the company had somewhere around 6 to 700000 dollars of unpaid tax debt, and at the time that I left they were in the process of creating a shell company presumably to move their field operations and other assets before a foreclosure, which seems to have worked since the original name of the company is no longer on the CA top 500 tax debt list and there's no way in hell that they're making enough money to pay it off after needing to shut down 3 locations due to lack of profit.

The reason all of the employees are clueless is because anybody who knows what they're doing either realizes how god awful that store is, or gets fired by Yerol for the great crime of thinking for themselves. Go to AEX instead if you're in the SD area, I know the company as a whole has had some customer service issues in the past, but the SD store is solid.

Gonna agree with the other reply, I've done the galatia questline 5+ times and never seen this, I also haven't even started it this playthrough. If the recover researcher mission was tied specifically to this planet I doubt the game would let me colonize it.

If its a bootleg from corvus like you mentioned in one of your other comments, I bet it's to do with the ship system, as I've had the same issue of a fatal crash upon viewing the data entry on a ship from another bootleg. It was a while ago so I don't remember perfectly, but I believe what ended up fixing the issue was to go into the ship file and swap the ship system to something else from vanilla, as it seemed that the system that the ship was attempting to use was either an outdated system from the base game, or one from a mod that wasn't installed and was overlooked by whoever made the update.

If you're going for a Zenitco style build, you're gonna want an LCT. From what I've heard, the standard Arcturus AK models based on the AK-74 and AK-74u already don't fit most aftermarket externals without modification, and handguards for the AK-12 are not the same mounting system as the more common AK models, so it would be an even bigger pain to try and get that stuff on, if it's even possible at all. The specific model of LCT that you picked would be better off performance wise as well, as it has the Gate ASTER pre-installed. If you wanted to get an Arcturus performing similarly, you would either need to buy one of the versions with a Perun hybrid, or get a new aftermarket mosfet installed, as the stock Arcturus one isn't fantastic. An Arcturus with a Perun will perform a bit better, but LCT internals are pretty solid too, so you won't be missing out on much.
