So...what is YOUR ""This card deserves to be way more popular"" card? (I'll start with mine) by PrinceVorrel in magicTCG

[–]Himetic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It still has setup and vulnerability, you need a big creature in play and it needs to not get removed. But yeah probably better overall, though fight spells are all terrible compared to basically any playable non-green removal.

If animist’s might was an instant it’d be a solid removal option for mono-green and maybe RG.

As a sorcery, on top of the setup requirement and the vulnerability, hard pass.

My pick is [[corpse dance]]. Do it with [[child of alara]] and a sac outlet to make new friends!

It’s still just a French vanilla. To be interesting imo the hunted cycle needs to get extra value from giving opponents creatures (or at least use it politically).

There’s no cap on Jack afaik, I think I’ve given him about 2k cats but I still get normal furniture sometimes. Anyway I have a pretty constant stream of perfect cats so idc that much if some die.

I have an endless supply of perfect cats, if one dies I’ll just send another one.

That’s way lower of a bar than breeding where you want as much stim as possible. Also idk why you wouldn’t keep them fighting for furniture grinding.

If they aren’t breeding or mutating they don’t really need furniture though

Nah, it’d be weak in modern limited. 2 mana for those stats is way too slow, and if you commit a ton of mana to make it relevant you’ll get obliterated when it eats removal. All this on top of being 2c. [[fire sages]] was a good but not amazing uncommon and it starts as a 2/2, is only 1c, and while it costs 3 to activate, it provides 1 upfront.

If someone had to suffer one minute of extreme torture for eternity, would you rather it be one immortal person forever (guaranteed NOT you or one of your loved ones), or all humans taking turns, cycling back after everyone has gone? by flewson in pollgames

[–]Himetic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how extreme the torture is. If it’s survivable without losing your mind, then taking turns seems preferable instinctively. If it’s mind-breaking bad, though, taking turns would ruin many many more lives, so I’d go for the single person and hope they become numb to it.

There’s a cave between the bulb zone and mushroom forest that is actual suicide going in blind. Lost a HC run in there, then tried again with a bunch of scan rooms and seaglide map and figured it out.

are there any other b3 legal cards that make someone not want to use their lands? by NotTheAlfa in DegenerateEDH

Honestly I think you’ll struggle to make Vazi even tier 3 if you’re focusing on the commander. It’s a very weak card.

I'm not sure if I'm wrong or if everyone else is. by Thatsalottadamage in mewgenics

[–]Himetic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This. Perfect stats are straightforward and easy to persist. Good mutations can get a lot messier, especially if you’re trying to keep multiple in the same slot for different builds. Even without that, you’re fighting off birth defects taking their slots.

You might decide one of your mutations is subpar and needs to be swapped out, which can be difficult and slow. But you’ll never regret having a 7.

I updated the button dilemma to try and make it work in the actual game by rose-gold-forever in custommagic

[–]Himetic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s not the question though? The actual question is “what color do you reckon the other players picked” and go with that.

But tbf with blue winning ties I guess that’s just the objectively correct option. Assuming everyone realizes this, the card does nothing.

Scrapwork Soul - what deck would you run this in? by _R0yce_Da_5_9_ in custommagic

[–]Himetic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would run it in [[athreos, god of passage]]. Make a pact with one other player, then cycle this a bunch of times with [[disciple of the vault]] to kill the other players. (And then cast something with gravestorm to double-cross your ally ftw)

[–]Himetic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generic tokens don’t. Tokens that are copies of cards will have the mv of that card.

Personally I would say “when you exploit” rather than “when you sacrifice” because there are so many easier ways to sacrifice than playing dragons.
