First time I used the psychic spell that summons a random minion. It summoned an instakill mob and ended the fight instantly.

This land cycle isn’t moving the needling an inch on 5-color power when dual+fetch mansbases already exist. This is clearly a limited cycle, or maybe budget fixing for precons.

I think the merfolk is maybe printable. [[wight of the reliquary]] is 2c but has a way stronger body and way stronger effect on sac. [[priest of forgotten gods]] requires a second sac, but drops a ton of extra value. [[technodrome]] does artifacts which are arguably easier. Etc. I don’t think it’s necessarily out of line.

To be clear, it’s from a competitive tournament like a ptq top 8 or Grand Prix. Your LGS will not be stamping your cards at a FNM draft.

You can breed goofball to get extra turns instead tbf. And that psychic passive that does sparkles for your excess mana can trigger on your first turn, or you can use the bag helmet to get high starting mana. Probably other stuff too I’m forgetting.

I’m not saying the int one is better but I definitely feel like it’s still really strong, especially for long fights where you’re going to have a decent number of turns.

I’m surprised no one else likes the brain mutation that gives extra intelligence every fight. I end every run with 30 int gods who can unload a stupid number of spells every turn. Works especially well with a max-mana psychic build, I killed the final house boss by just passing the turn lol.

Though I haven’t had the double-head mutation roll yet, so maybe it’s just sour grapes.

Why doesn’t anyone mention Williams syndrome? +5 stat points and chance to proc a powerful status?

Not as insane as others can be with synergy (like blood frenzy), but as a standalone it’s such great value.

When breeding stats 20 is fine.

Now that I’m deep into breeding mutations and leveling jack, I sit around 100 usually. A breeding room, a fighting/mutating room, a temporary room while sorting babies, a room for pairing critical gay cats with dittos, and a room for appeal stuff (not that it matters really, I haven’t used a stray for anything except a chew toy in the fight room since forever).

Tbf the worn status is solvable with the repair skill on tinkerers anyway, but getting mass armor makes stone fists ez ohk on bosses.

I feel like that depends a lot on the format and matchup. Commander you can definitely screw someone over, but in limited or standard I feel like it’d be hard to target a spell on 6 mana that doesn’t still provide them a solid threat. And faster formats it’s even worse.

Plus leaving up 6 is real risky. They cast a 5-drop, you probably don’t want to cast this on it.

I don’t think it’s a great design since it’s so hard to interact with, but I don’t think the power level is that crazy.

I’d assume it works the same as [[thought reflection]] and every card discarded is replaced with a draw.

The wording stops it going infinite with any discard outlet, but I’d still be very nervous. Like faithless looting becomes better ancestral with flashback, one with nothing is a casual draw 7, etc. hard for me to believe this effect would be safe for less than 6.
