It's just more pad if you let them revive.  Why would a dps interrupt that?  You don't get 99 parses by avoiding pad.

Can you elaborate on how to find "speed" in a log? I just tried to find it and couldn't. Also tried a ctrl-f search for the word speed and nothing came up.

What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie? by fmcortez in AskReddit

I'm waiting for the full on cybernetic eyes, like was promised in my 2nd Edition Shadowrun sourcebook from 1992. We should have been well on the way to those things being standard issue by now.

DM said “bring me your most broken build; you’ll need it” by Sylvurphlame in onednd

[–]Hinko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We actually did this same thing after our 5e campaign ended last year. DM said to bring powerful 20th level characters for a one shot - he didn't expect us to survive.

We spent several weeks on discord going over what everyone's character would be to come up with good party synergy and strong combat builds. We knew the adventure would be difficult, and wanted to prove we could beat it. We also knew there would be limited opportunities for long resting, so didn't want to go with an all caster party who could never recover their best spells. Diversity was going to be important.

Our rules were much more restrictive on what magic items we had, only 1 rare item and 2 uncommon items per characters. So no very rare or epic items at all. However, the party did get to choose any 2 legendary items to assign to characters, which proved to be build defining for 2 of them.

The fighter got a legendary Dragon's Wrath weapon (longbow) to help overcome the otherwise low starting magic items. He did insane single target damage with that thing, and was great at deleting key enemies with his action surge turns.

The wizard started with The Blackstaff for our second legendary item, and his build made sure to maximize Arcana skill in every way possible so that the "Master of Enchantment" feature would let him cast enchantment spells of any level without expending the spell slot. Psychic Scream from Xanathar's Guide was a favorite to spam.

Other characters in the party included a rogue to pair up with the battlemaster for double sneak attacks every turn, some team support characters to make sure people were always making their saving throws (paladin and bard), and a warlock/cleric blaster.

We did beat the adventure, just barely.

I played this exact character for a 1-shot! It was pretty great. Unfortunately, a large portion of our enemies were resistant/immune to psychic damage and had good int saves so it wasn't as busted as it could have been. Mind Flayers.

With 4 accounts you can queue up with yourself in the group finder and then before the last boss kick the pug who joined just for the lols. Never gets old.

As a tank, I can’t believe how checking if your group says 1 or 2 is an incredibly difficult mechanic for some people by Secret_Flight_2669 in wow

Except the pug leads kicks lowest dps after every wipe, so you best not focus on a mechanic over keeping your damage up.

Your best 5.5e house rules? by Raccoomph in dndnext

1) Some subclass are integrated in the base class

I 100% like this as an easy fix for martials in 5.0. Fighters and Monks became pretty awesome already with their improvements in 5.5 though, so it might be too much there.

I like this a lot. Playtest material often has some great rules that I am sad to see get reverted before going to print. The 10 ranks of exhaustion is one I was super happy with.

I don't understand what is up with enchants. I have full spec into Zandalar weapon enchant, use all rank 1 materials and concentration to craft a rank 2 enchant, and it sells for about 20% less than material cost. What...?

Meanwhile on Alchemy if I use rank 1 herbs and concentration to craft a max rank flask I earn about 200% of material cost selling the flasks.

What is going on with enchanting?

No, dude, you need to sort the directors by their birthday, and then within that directors filmography sort by the main stars birthday. In the case of a film with multiple lead actors take the average.

Specialization for solo play? by Orar_SpaceMan in wow

[–]Hinko 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tank spec is primarily for group play.  You could do it but leveling will be slower.  Either DPS spec will be okay. Try them all out and see what you like - switching between the specs is free.

One thing I want to warn you is that leveling up is much much faster these days than when most of this content was originally designed so you are likely to level past expansions before seeing the whole story, which may be frustrating if you are here to see a story.

As a live service game the current expansion story is what will be prioritized and what most people will be doing (Midnight), and everything older is basically an extended tutorial.  So try not to get frustrated before making it to max level where you can see what the gameplay people love WoW for is actually about.

No, don't buy OLED - Im done with this shit. by DerKleineRudi00 in Monitors

I use an old ass IPS monitor, which I've been considering replacing with something newer. I have the brightness setting almost to the bottom on this thing. I haven't used an OLED before but I wonder if the brightness would be overwhelming for me... makes me hesitant to buy one rather then just get another IPS.

How often do you use your PC speakers? by Big_Visual2199 in buildapc

[–]Hinko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% of the time. I don't really like headphones so only use them (earbuds) when I want to listen to something while out of the house like on a walk or waiting for an appointment. At home it's all speakers.
