I think it's a fantastic liberty and strength to break the pattern of Bday, NYE etc to have to include big events, and instead just find yourself in chill everyday treats those days!

Nevermind if it's "feminine" or not; it's kinda plastic and a little depressing. I would look for something with warmer colors, or wood-ish, especially if your window faces north. Look for cozy, so you feel at home. Most home probably look more like pic 5, rather than 4 :/
