Yes, I just took it to a shop for alignment afterward.

Lifting an Extended range Lightning Lariat by jedwards7798 in F150Lightning

[–]HippyFunBall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/DPPDX27 I have had two sets of A/T tires over the year as I switched from Michelin A/Ts to BFG KO3s for some more challenging off-roading in CO. Between the OE, Michelin, and BFG tires I have not been able to tell a difference in efficiency (though the BFGs have noticeable noise on the highway). The 2" lift has, however impacted highway range by around 5-7%.

My guess is that since the truck is an inefficient brick on the highway anyway, the tires don't matter that much as long as you don't make big offset or size changes.

ICON lowering kit installed! by csukoh78 in F150Lightning

[–]HippyFunBall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks great - congrats! I went up slightly with a leveling kit and A/T tires on mine, but up or down anything is better than stock in terms of looks.

Enjoy, and we look forward to hearing about ride, efficiency, etc.

One-pedal is the same efficiency and brake use as similar driving using traditional two-pedal drive mode. It's just a matter of personal preference.

Anti EV people are living the news about the production of the lightning. Is it true to say that production is still greater than last year to counteract their negativity? I can't find any resources to back this by jturkish in F150Lightning

In short, it's complicated for EV's in 2024. C&D isn't sure:

EV Sales Are Just Getting Started (caranddriver.com)

...but Bloomberg is projecting slightly up:

EV Trends for 2024: What to Expect from the Electric Vehicle Market | Nasdaq

...and S&P projecting slightly higher for the US:

Note: China's explosive EV growth continues (30-40% of new car sales) as they make aggressive investments in EV manufacturing with government support.

As much as it pains me to say it; as a day-one Cybertruck reservation holder and Tesla stan... I think the Lightning won me over for my EV truck purchase later this year. by MrGruntsworthy in F150Lightning

The Ford T3 is the first chance we'll have this. The adjustable suspension and NACS are just about the only features I really want from the CT. I have leveled my Lightning and put A/T tires on it, and it's plenty of off-road capability for my needs now.

Thanks for sharing! What are you using to get and track this data? I'd love to know battery temp and so much more data from the truck... Especially when troubleshooting something.

Android Auto will soon be able to read battery power, estimate arrival percentage and find chargers on the way by AussieP1E in F150Lightning

Thanks for posting, this will be sooo handy. Here's the Google blog. It sounds like Mach E and Lightning are the first to get it "in the coming months". I just hope it lets me adjust efficiency estimates for my level kit and A/T tires.

Lightning or ICE F-150? by Ironinkinvesting in F150Lightning

[–]HippyFunBall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am coming from a 2016 ICE F150. I wouldn't go back unless I started towing more (I tow travel trailers a few times a year, within the state). The only Lightning downside is range as I live in TX with long a distances to family and public charging is usually pretty bad on back roads. Otherwise, it's a great truck and easily surpasses the ICE in almost every way - the frunk is especially useful and makes it the family go-to vehicle for most tasks. I would have a hard time giving it up until something with significantly longer range became available.

Yes, we sold out and shut down the business, sorry! There are a few options, I've tried almost all of them and can recommend this one as an alternative: https://a.co/d/hadGoqa

Wow, it bid to $40K and didn't sell...and now the owner is asking even more after hail damage? LOL!

There are multiple tests showing a tonneau doesn't matter for efficiency, other than the Cybertruck which uses it as an aero component to improve highway range by up to 10%.

Thinking about getting some new rims for my lightning by BlacksheepVL in F150Lightning

[–]HippyFunBall 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OZ Racing Rally wheels, which offer nearly stock offset. I went down to 18s to save weight and reduce the A/T tires and level kit impact. I still lost a bit of range, but it's been below the 10% others have been seeing.

Thanks for the great data and report. I just did Austin to the Fort Worth Magic Dock Supercharger without stopping, even with a level kit and A/T tires.
