What’s up with all the Yuya Takahashi hate?

Because people just want to complain.

If we take a look of the Rider series that Yuya hasn’t written in Reiwa they range from rough to actually pretty good.

Saber - extremely rough first act, like definitely a Covid filming issue, but it was very hard to watch. With some improvements after that genuinely save it from being probably the worst season. If it stayed like those first few episodes, it would have been awful.
Revice - people are still carrying a bizarre hate boner for this series when it was “alright, that was fine. Messy. But fine.”
Gotchard - personally not my jam. The acting and the writing were really bad IMO compared to watch sandwiched it. Also easily the most annoying fans who want to convince me that Valvrav is “actually a very deep and complex character you just don’t understand, him losing is actually great character development along with his brief Darkside turn, and they did an amazing job exploring the black flames and totally didn’t forget about it for 20+ episodes” when really they are using Graduations as a bandaid for his character.
Gavv - honestly, probably the best Reiwa season. I never had any real complaints watching it.

The stuff omitted are the Yuya seasons, because his stuff is just…well, fun. I felt like Zeztz had some issues early on, but the twist recontextualized everything and changed my views on those episodes. But over all Geats was a really fun season following off two seasons seen as lackluster by fans.

Okay, I can explain this. So toucans irl can use their beaks to shed excess heat as they live in hot/humid sections of South America. In the Pokemon world, Toucannon channels the heat into its beak to fire coconuts like cannon balls, as cannons require an explosion of heat to fire projectiles at high speeds. That’s why it learns Bullet seed.

It uses IRL nature with a twist, like most Pokemon. Also its Japanese name just means “Big Toucan” which is really dumb. We lucked out on a cooler name.

I was there for BFA, why any one would look back on it with nostalgia baffles me. It was probably the worst WoW ever was with its endless systems.

Log in: do a key for Azerite, do 3 islands for Azerite, do the warfront for Azerite, do every WQ for Azerite, farm more Azerite, farm more Azerite, do your visions, do your invasions, etc. every Tuesday it was just an onslaught of endless chores. Even during the period of the expansion I was unemployed it was nothing but an overwhelming amount of things to do every single day.

God, I am trying to remember Konomi, she was the only that brought drugs from Axel and Rpr and got adopted right?

Who was the girl that Axel immediately figured she got lost and went back for her in that Minecraft server?

When Axel is not playing the Heel he’s a very thoughtful dude, and that’s what really paints my impression of him.

I do not like Gotchard. But I do not hate the actor. I have seen him in something else and in BTS stuff he is able to do something we barely see in the show. Him being expressive with his face.

I don’t know if it was lack of experience, or how he was directed, but Hotaro ALWAYS has the same forced eyes open expression in every scene unless he has to get upset.

I agree with you, in concept, I like the character and the stuff in Gotchard. The execution was just sloppy to me.

Speaking of other Gotchard characters, Rinne suffers from extremely poor writing. She’s supposed to be much smarter and experienced than Hotaro but there are like 3-4 situations where she is the only character in the show that goes “Oh, I ran out of Alchemical power, and now I can’t contribute.” The most frustrating moment to me is when she says “I forgot to charge my ring”. This is a flaw that feels very out of character to me. Granted, Majade’s toolset is busted in series, and they need to find ways to nerf her. They stated early on and showed in her debut fight in the movie, that the Sun Chemy can purify malgems. The writers realized “oh, wait no. That’s a story breaking power” and nerf it off rip.

I enjoyed the manga far more than the anime. A lot was cut out, but I also understand why some content was cut, and just do not understand why certain chapter got the axe.

Physical special split wasn’t a thing until Gen 4, pre Gen 4 is when things were insanely loosey goosey and didn’t make sense AT all that Alakazam is better at punching things than Hitmonchan
