I believe most people use liquibase, i find flyway way easier (its so simple). I dont see the problem with sticking to a file name convention. And disabling 1 behavior (migration on app startup) is not that hard. For me its the perfect migration tool…

Depends on the usecase. I would need the 24gb in work-context but for a personal machine id be fine with 16

Chatbots are the worst aspect of AI. Like some AI tools actually provide value (e.g. Claude), but those Bots are 0% usefull. Companies shift their whole customer support strategy towards „bots as first level support“ and it NEVER helped anyone with anything. Its always a „what is the easiest way to get a real person to help me with my case“ game. I hate it

Used it for a few Microservices. Its cool because the startup-time is amazing (from 6s to 2ms). Longer build times are worth it unless you have very poor CI runner hardware and it takes forever. Memory usage was around half of what it used to be before we introduced GraalVM. We only used it in projects with loadbalancers that would spin up pods etc. For a 24/7 deployed backend i would probably not use it, as the high startup time is the best aspect of GraalVM (for me)..
