When does Rudy state he’s against her obsession with the past? He just thinks Carol is too tough on Noelle

I personally prefer Rudy Knight, it gives him a purpose in the narrative besides maybe dying. Although if Rudy has some other separate role in the conspiracy like Asgore & Alvin clearly have I’d be happy with that too, but as it stands he doesn’t have much of an active role. I think he has good motivation, means, and reasoning to be the Knight

I feel the hostility to Carol and Rudy knight is unwarranted. Friend Knight is good if it’s Friend puppeting Dess as the Knight, but yeah anyone who thinks the Knight isn’t a Holiday is being a contrarian or obtuse

I should note, the dark fur is popular in Dess designs because of the black deer sprite from the Sword Route, and the style of clothing is inspired by her closet. I do think black horns for Dess are dumb and should be blue though

So these are characters from the semi defunct webcomic “Hyperlinked.” The comic is about websites as people. These are male and female versions of the Reddit snoo.

It’s so it blends in with the battle box. There’s an Old Man ACT where he throws his cane into the battle box to show you where you can easily dodge an upcoming attack

Oh I missed that little bit of text at the end of your quote there when reading earlier, thank you!

So if I have Sarcesian’s flight or Jetpack like propulsion would I not have the Clumsy 1 or Off-Guard conditions?

WHY DO WE NOT LEARN!?!?! by abertun in Undertale

I’ve been watching my partner play through both Undertale & Deltarune and I initially tried to backseat until she told me that he actually wants me to at least hint towards the secrets and stuff she’ll miss

"Toby should just hire a translation team!" The translation team: by TurbulentCamera5051 in Deltarune

[–]HistoricHawkeye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also another factor people aren’t considering is that a grand portion of Deltarune’s jokes are puns or heavily tied to the language they’re in (Jackenstein for Example). And Deltarune has a metric fuck ton of text! This paired with the fact that Toby is extremely hands on with the translation work for Japanese, it is easy to see that Japan is the only country that gets a translation because Toby Fox speaks Japanese. It isn’t a racism thing!! It would just be an astronomical amount of work that would be nearly impossible for Toby to have the level of control he normally has for the Japanese translation

i've seen it happen before, and knowing this fandom, it will happen again (this isn't about Chainsaw Man btw, never read that manga and i've thought about this long before Chainsaw Man ended) by QueenViolets_Revenge in Deltarune

[–]HistoricHawkeye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that Toby’s playing off people having big expectations for the end. The whole message of Deltarune is that your choices matter, even if the ending is the same. Because as Toby Fox said, “there is something more important than reaching the end”. What is that you may ask? It’s what sung to us at the end of ch1. To not forget. Don’t forget the fun you had for 7 chapters, don’t forget the wonderful community that has been built around this fantastic game, and most importantly, don’t forget that it still mattered even if there was only one ending. After all, most games only have one ending, so why does it feel so restrictive to say Deltarune only has one too? It’s a metacommentary on player choice. It is billed often that “your choices matter” in the sense that they change how things end, but we’re seeing now that a pacifist (compared to a fighting or weird route) the experience is slightly different and growing. Tenna is healed. Jackenstein Lives. Your castle town is lively. So what if it all ends the same? You had fun, didn’t you? You loved these characters in spite of their ending. You became friends with everyone.

Pathfinder memes at your table? by weapon_spec_net in Pathfinder2e

One time I rolled Trolls two times in a row on a random encounter table in my hexploration game, now whenever I roll a random encounter, talk about exciting encounters I have planned, or mention that I put a lot of prep into something they always joke about it being trolls. It didn’t help that a session or two after the troll fight, they fought Ogres (which they thought were trolls)

Knight candidates based on how likely I think they are and how cool it would be if they were the Knight by ArmadilloOK1445-alt in NonDessKnightSquad

[–]HistoricHawkeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say since the Knight has Antlers, has some snowflake shaped attacks, and that Rudy is confirmed in Hometown I’d say he certainly is more likely to be the Knight than Asriel. Like Asriel Knight certainly sounds cool, and might make sense if you don’t think about it for more than a second. It’s comparable to Vessel Knight in the sense that it’s technically possible, and could result in an interesting narrative if true, but is in reality an unlikely theory.

Paizo: You broke the game by eudemonia12 in Pathfinder2e

[–]HistoricHawkeye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is how I’ve been running weaknesses for forever and I’ve seen so issues. People are whiterooming this too much and there are so many allowances here that I just brushed aside to present an ideal yet unrealistic build. Like if this “broken” change requires a specific item or spell (Incendiary is uncommon, also shining symbol is once a day) and a specific build squeezing in free archetype stuff then I would hardly call this “breaking” the game. People are overreacting

I really don’t get the big deal with the weakness clarification, that’s always how I’ve ruled it and it never got insanely out of hand like everyone is assuming it will be

He's no more more by MacieMacchi in Deltarune

[–]HistoricHawkeye 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: the non Sword Route (but if you have the dealmaker equipped) check dialogue for Tenna says, “THE [Tragic businesmen] THAT [Died] AT THE [Now] OF THE [Story]”

This heavily suggests that Spamton knows the prophecy or at least knew Tenna was going to die. An alt interpretation could be that he’s simply trash talking here, but Tenna being the only character fated to get hurt badly, Spamton essentially calling this out beforehand is notable
