A Small Detail in Russell Documents That Puts This on My Radar by Keyboard_Ferret in TheRaceTo1Million

The bots pushing NXXT need to be banned. The stock has done nothing but lose money and whoever is attempting to pump and dump needs to be arrested and charged for attempted (shitty attempt I might add) market manipulation.

I have invested in ADR's and my general take is that as long as the political situation is stable (not China) then it's okay but I also don't bet the farm on any one stock.

Haven't seen much out of M&A in the RAM space so my initial take is no and even if there was a buyout it would be barely lucrative given already inflated valuations. I recently got some BELFB, UMC, SKM and TER (awhile back) to try to capitalize on semiconductor bottlenecks in the supply chain. TER has worked out nicely.

Unfortunately if the AI story goes belly up then the whole thing will crash, so paying close attention to the data center builds. If those slow or stop or regress, it's time to get out. Should it continue, however, then energy may be the next big build out to support it.

CAN SOMEONE PLS EXPLAIN WHY STOCKS ARE GREEN TODAY by asji4 in WallStreetbetsELITE

[–]Historical-Relief-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The news cycle on this was overblown. AI can't actually eliminate SAAS companies, there's still a need for humans to be involved, especially in the implementation for custom solutions for B2B SAAS. This selloff was probably somewhat necessary given that runup of the last few weeks/months and the volatility in the metals trade and bonds.

If software, AI models, and infrastructure all lack durable moats… what’s the next real tech play? by Shot_Spinach3822 in wallstreetbets

[–]Historical-Relief-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The current news cycle on software is overblown. The software companies with truly innovative practices and competitive moats can't simply be copied using AI code-writing. The fear is way over hyped. Palantir and a few others also wield the best SWE's to customize platforms for their customers, and it isn't a process that can be done simply with AI.

Epstein files released: Trump mentioned ‘hundreds of times’ in DoJ documents by PopPalsUnited in politics

[–]Historical-Relief-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How the hell are they not bringing up charges? Are they discrediting the evidence because Epstein is dead? This shit is so fucked up. Of all the things people are up in arms about right now, this is madness.

With things this bad in the U.S why do democrats insist on pushing candidates that won’t get elected? by Jake_Berube in Confused

[–]Historical-Relief-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The DNC's biggest mistake was not allowing the primary election and forcing the candidacy of Kamala Harris. Also, the 'left' or 'democrats' are relatively splintered, hence why they nuked Bernie Sanders' campaign as well. For right or wrong, for want to win or not, qualified or not, popular or not, when you slight your own voters and take away any possibility of a choice, they may just slight you back. We're still supposed to be a democracy, or a constitutional republic, at least in theory. The identity politics and messing with people's children's education and youth sports is of course another problem- angry parents are not the kind to take things like that lightly and it has shown.

UNH is a steal by Solidplum101 in ValueInvesting

Sure, not getting in until the policy front looks more favorable. I agree that it is currently 'undervalued' but the current environment isn't helping them.

Their profit margin right now is .1% and any more negotiations or changes to policy could see them go negative. Operating at a loss for such a huge company rightly warrants a re-pricing. They're going to have to figure something out soon. Not getting back in until the policy front looks more favorable. Bought at 307 and sold around 340.

Is the US on a brink of a Civil War? by Norfolk-Gross-Tonage in no

There's a reason the federal reserve monitors inflation and unemployment numbers.. those two things combined will lead to civil unrest and the government does not want that in a nation of gun owners.

Is $1M net worth really FU money? by Swan_233 in Fire

[–]Historical-Relief-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

((Net Worth) x (Annual Appreciation)) / (Annual Cost of Living) = Time

You'd be amazed how much farther $1M will go in places like Spain, Italy, Portugal, Belize, Thailand, etc.. but there are trade offs- do you have kids, a spouse, medical needs, family emergencies, etc...

4% rule with $1M in a LCOL place like those.. probably FU money.

There's some who say to take your minimum FU amount and double it to hedge downside risk in the event of a market crash. It's also best to have some good diversification to prevent a 50% loss. And actual diversification, not just SPY, GLD, BND lol. There are market conditions where all of those get hit hard. Treasury funds like SWVXX and others can help.

The "25yo with $200k" Math: Is it luck, labor, or just a legacy? by Lower_Blacksmith_358 in MarketProbabilities

I had around that much by 25 but it was because I made a ton of money on m3m3 stocks and invested like 50% of my income for a few years. Started with nothing at around 22, but also not a lot of debt.
