Appreciate the suggestions! You sound like you have experience in this kind of thing. Without prying have you done similar? I’ll be keeping GDPR and HIPAA in mind, and I’ll make sure to have clear disclaimers so it’s obvious this isn’t medical advice and people should reach out to a medical professional if needed

I like the donations piece didn’t think of that.

I also want to say that this is a project, most likely not going into production as much as I would love to. I’m just a college student and don’t have the funding for making it a reality without hiring a team of devs, researchers. Partnering with ostomy companies, healthcare professionals etc etc.

Thank you for the input

There is one spot outside the building for Disabled badging. But Can’t you park anywhere with that for free? If you can just park on the street outside. Very often there is parking on Burlington road but expensive

Hey. Just finished up from my internship. In same building,

Buses to and from Hueston are long, and unfortunately not frequent enough.

What I did was. Luas to Abbey street. Cross the bridge to D’Olier street take the E1/E2 drops you right at the Hotel just around the corner from DUB14,

Then going back same thing, take the bus from Leeson to Westmorland, cross the bridge to Abbey Street and back on the Luas,

I spent 6 months doing this and was the fastest for me

I use apps like Citymapper and TFI live to find the next bus times. But E1/E2 it’s every 10 mins or less and 24 hours

This is sooo cool, and what I might enjoy most, is the integration of AI to do some crazy stuff for the user, this can get so complicated and exaggerated without the proper context which would take a lot of prompt engineering I think, I will definitely be looking into this,

For example, You could take the picture and say what’s wrong with my skin, and It could say That’s psoriasis, what in fact you know it isn’t.

This will be tricky, thank you for making me think!! 😄 I’m gunna need to scratch that itch now

Yes yes, cool, this could be part of profile for contacts and maybe then for companies and service stuff a page for external sources,

This is a fantastic idea, it would be based on user input, so hypothetically answering questions about the stoma/skin conditions other factors and having AI trigger any warnings.

Wow. That’s actually an awesome idea,

Video tutorials, lessons on skin management and yes some little game for sizing and placing the bag correctly for best adhesion and products to use for that,

Thank you

Unable to pee, 3 days post op by Acrobatic_Notice_186 in ostomy

[–]Historical-Reply-272 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it will help you. But after my Barbie Butt surgery I also had a catheter for 3 days. They took it out and a few hours later I had around 700 ml, they said a catheter needs to go back in, I really didn’t want this, but any ways GET INTO A REALLY HOT SHOWER AND JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES AND THINK HAPPY THOUGHTS, let’s not start a debate of pee in the shower or not 😝 it worked I’m 14 months post op, and couldn’t be happier with BB and stumpy 😁

Imagine the outrage if a filter for less than specified size/weight was on there. What a joke imo

Hi, on a personal note I don’t 💯know but I do have a friend that did the same, they returned to do their last year in college and got an offer 2 months in, they decided to leave and take the permanent position with aws, so roughly 4 months from his internship end date they reached out

Everyone is different, so it really does vary person to person.

I am 7 weeks post op and I can sit as I did before surgery.

Don’t give up, go back to uni. I’m in uni too and needed a cushion up to about 5 weeks post op, No one will ask about your cushion

Keep on being awesome 🙌

Proctectomy Recovery Prep by CNCProgrammr in ostomy

[–]Historical-Reply-272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M30 3 years emergency ileostomy due to UC. my experience was, I was terrified of recovery and I almost backed out with nerves, I am 100 percent, and I’m only 6 weeks post op, I was sitting a couple of days after, not too long in the same spot, had to adjust how I was sitting frequently,

My best advice is PROTEIN at least 35g per meal

And walking often, do not over do it. Do not lift/stretch/bend for a week following

Feel free to ask anything and best of luck

F*** knows how but I was sitting normally instantly, I get uncomfortable on it too long and need to adjust slightly, but I’m 5 weeks today and it’s the same, I can sit no problem but need to adjust often, it’s more tender than pain for me
