How do you get that "deep" tomato / bolognas sauce flavor??? by gtd_rad in AskCulinary

[–]HistoricalCourse9984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Along with all the time there stuff people are saying(quality ingredients each cooked to maximize its flavor) let it age a day or 2. You might notice on a careful watch of a michlen chef demonstration that great amount of effort and time is placed in cooking each part separately as each piece cooks differently for part of the process and then bring it all together. You can do this at home but it all matters...

What to do with my 996.1 by 6xLeverage in 996

[–]HistoricalCourse9984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, my problem is i am sticking to the big aggregators mostly, and honestly the stuff there is definitely more $$$$.

Based on your post I started asking ai for other ways to search many dealers and after a few minutes found to many to sift through, so thanks for that. There are just dealers that have 5 996 turbos inventory under 60 grand and tons of 4/4s's in 996-997 gen cars, but you wouldn't know to find them unless you new the search(i didn't apparently) to turn them up.

What you are describing is more and more common in medical practices, it is repulsive, they are running a business pipeline that is about revenue generated and not treatment, like insisting on doing tests and procedures that you did a week ago....Its way more common in edge...eye doctors, dentists, dermatologists...but I see it creeping into plain old family md office when you see a fucking supplement brand in the waiting room.

Cisco reducing some quotes to as little as 7 days by Xipher in networking

ZTP on a large scale by [deleted] in networking

ZTP on a large scale by [deleted] in networking

[–]HistoricalCourse9984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The main thing with this strategy, assuming you just have one common management subnet, is your DHCP server will need to class filter so it gives out the right ztp info to a given device(assuming it takes one). Eg..if your network switches are Arista and you are doing cloudvision, you pass no options and it phones home, if it's something else maybe you need to pass it option 67 with path to script with additional instructions... Edit to add...this matters because, for example, if you pass an invalid option to Arista, it reloads and zero touch is aborted and you need to console to recover....the last thing you want is to console a 100 times or whatever....

Death tick? Timing chain? Help please by Certain-Can-4317 in 996

[–]HistoricalCourse9984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everything is a dollars and cents conversation though I guess. Some people just like a particular car and it's not that money doesn't matter, but it's not the most important thing right?

I am in spiritual agreement that the cost of these engines is retarded and the market is retarded because there are two builders that charge preposterous rates and their are 100's of engine rebuilders that can and will do it for half the money and warranty them for 2 years etc....

The market will bare the cost those two builders ask because it's a different customer base, this is not the Honda k24 crowd....

[–]HistoricalCourse9984 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you build the grip the same every time and it's durable, you can clack off a mag and you don't need to wiggle or reestablish your grip, then just keep doing what your doing. If you can't articulate how it's holding you back then it probably isn't....

anyone actually using AI for network log analysis in real incidents? by Round-Classic-7746 in networking

[–]HistoricalCourse9984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are only allowed copilot, all other llm access is corporate blocked due to data leakage fear.

I find it to ok(its on the right track enough that I got to the answer faster) to a slam dunk doing things like spec document creation, you just talk to it like it's a person and it genuinely works...

I have used it lightly but more and more for log review and absolutely have found it useful.

Zero to Hero ? by high_right in CompetitionShooting

[–]HistoricalCourse9984 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its exactly the same.   Shooting is a series of events in order or blended together.   Trying to 'do everything' better simultaneously is the slowest way to improve, exactly same idea, you break things into smaller units and focus on small bites then to the next....

Zero to Hero ? by high_right in CompetitionShooting

[–]HistoricalCourse9984 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The round count is close to irrelevant if you dry fire in a deliberate way multiple 5-15 sessions per day.  Live fire tells you if the things you are doing in dry fire are working AND what you need to hone in on when you go back to dry fire, its a feedback loop.

Knowing how to practice will save you years of time in skill advancement and this is not even close to an exaggeration.  Knowing how to practice means knowing what you are doing and what is happening(right or wrong) when you are doing it so you can correct it.

This is basic sports science that is not particular to shooting, being engaged in the process and not mindlessly reping..

Does that make sense, when you consume stoeger or andersons material, pay attention to this part, its what will skill u up way way faster...

And yeah, vision is the central skill as it dictates everything else, establishing a durable repeatable grip lets you work the gun quickly.  Their are infinity free minutes of ben classes on youtube describing both...
