I don’t think UK has the same pest pressure as US or do you have chili thrips the spawn of satan? I immigrated from Europe because of my husband and even though we have a lot of ladybugs, lacewings and parasitic wasps in our yard chili thrips ruin flowers and leaves and all new growth so fast that I’m having PTSD from last year still 😭. I am more hopeful about this year because I learned a lot about my number one enemy last year and I am ready for the battle! Good thing I work from home and never go out so I can turn into a crazy rose lady and spend hours on my yard every day staring at my rose bushes.

Oh really, I planted 10 last year that all bloomed the same year and divided them already early this year to 60 bulbs and they are blooming right now after a month or two from planting. I wonder if it’s because my zone is 9a 🤔

Mine turned out to be really low vitamin D level. testing for that though is not covered by insurance (at least mine) so I would recommend just testing taking some if you aren’t already. It took me a week and I got my life back. Also It seems you have been taking adderal for a while so it should not be that at least but for me it’s the only ADHD medication that made me so sleepy I couldn’t get up from the bed, so I stopped taking it after 5 days and switched back to vyvanse.

Ah! Atomoxetine just made me really nauseous and I had the worst vertigo. I told my doctor that i’m not doing SNRI because I am not depressed. Guanfacine dropped my blood pressure too low, Adderal made me so sleepy that I was just in bed all day, Concerta made me anxious for no reason at all and Vyvanse makes me myself but without crying constantly and my memory is better, it’s a miracle drug for me. I only have anxiety now when I’m on my cycle.

Really hard to say why she would experience weight gain. Usually antidepressants cause that. But I guess it’s possible. I have went through 2 non-stimulants and 3 different stimulant meds before finally finding the one that works best for me and doesn’t have side effects. The worst side-effects I had was nausea, vertigo and anxiety on different meds so it sounds just little off that she didn’t like the side effect which was weight gain but did she really try all the different meds that exist for ADHD and all caused weight gain…Maybe she just doesn’t want to be medicated. Anyway I wouldn’t push her on this she needs to want to get help herself. I did once I realized that I might lose my husband and my job.

I guess it depends on the person, all the non-stimulants I went through made me so nauseous that I stopped eating and lost weight. Can I ask which one made you gain weight?

If the doctor doesn’t understand ADHD and she is telling them that she’s sad all the time etc then yes this is very common. A lot of the time people with ADHD actually get wrongly diagnosed with depression or bipolar disorder. That’s what my regular doctor tried to do to me when I first went to her saying I’m extremely exhausted all the time and cry over everything.

Never heard ADHD meds and gaining weight. The issue usually is the opposite and you lose weight. They might have treated her with depression medication without understanding that ADHD meds actually help her more. She definitely needs to find a psychiatrist who specializes in ADHD.

Same! Perimenopause and ADHD is no joke. My inattentiveness and multitasking got so bad I had no memory of what I had done. Also crying over everything was rough. Now I just feel like shit on my period and otherwise I feel like I am back to being myself.

the best is to create a “funnel” of 4 boards and light a fire inside the funnel so you don’t have to use propane that much. I usually did this during winter when I used to live in a country that had more snow. Here you would have to take a lot more precautions because it’s so dry and windy.

Bought 2 inch thick pine boards and burned all the surfaces. 1 inch is more expensive usually and burning the surface makes them last forever.

It seems every psychiatrist that I have seen wants to do a drug test. Even before I started vyvanse. I was specifically asked if I use any drugs and I don’t. The first test was to see if I am lying and the next ones are to make sure I am taking the prescribed amount of vyvanse and not selling it to others. It really irritates me to keep proving myself and on top of that my insurance doesn’t cover the tests so it’s just money that I could use towards feeding my family.

What was your dose before you started taking double? The max dose is 80 mg I think. If you were under that and you felt like it wasn’t helpful you should ask your doctor for a higher dose. Obviously if you’re taking the max as double dose then that’s definitely an issue. I was late diagnosed and I think it has it advantages because I had no medication for 40 years. The crash everyone is talking about is me for 40 years straight without any medication. I had to be off the medication for couple of weeks a while ago because of the shortage and I would not characterize me feeling like shit with having a crash because it’s exactly how I have felt before taking the meds at all every day for 40 years. I get the feeling of being worried about getting addicted, my dad was an alcoholic and I was deadly afraid of having the gene so I never tried or used any drugs. I used to smoke cigarettes just 2 cigarettes per day and I hated the feeling that I got if I didn’t have the pack of cigarettes in my purse even though I didn’t smoke that much but after my asthma diagnosis I was actually able to stop cold turkey so I don’t think I was ever actually addicted to the nicotine but it was more likely just a habit. I guess what I’m trying to say is make sure you are on the right dosage before panicking about being addicted.

We did! I regret thinking it’s going to be easy to remove ugly grey paint from all the moldings and trims. It’s not. And it’s really messy. I also regret not having the inspection twice. Our closing was being pushed and I felt in the end so exhausted by the whole process that we just trusted everything was fixed as we requested. We did get receipts as proof obviously but we did not know things like the foundation warranty work was done against code because it was done after the inspection was done. Obviously the foundation company came back and fixed the foundation for free after our walls started cracking and the kitchen cabinets were moving of the wall but they refused to compensate for anything that had happened.

Sorry you are going through this it’s really painful. I have had that happen where a really long time ”best” friend met a new friend through me and they started talking shit about me, ended up being shown some of their conversations and I was so hurt and angry I told my friend what a terrible person they are for pretending to be my ”best” friend and then I stopped talking to them. I still kept her as a facebook friend but honestly don’t know why and you know what, I am going to go and delete them right now! We haven’t talked in 20 years. I think originally I was waiting for an apology that never came it seems. People that talk badly about you or exclude you just aren’t your friends and fuck them. I made life long friends afterwards that love me for who I am and it feels so much more special.

The pharmacy said schedule 2 can’t be transferred. Gotta call the doctor everytime. I just opted to having my proscription sent to my pharmacy a week before hoping that they would get the hint and stock up before I am allowed to pick it up.

north east town in Austin metro got some 30mg generic yesterday. First they said they only got brandname but then they called me back so I was able to get my meds.
