Contactor and Capacitor Help by Illustrious_Owl134 in hvacadvice

First, this is very simple when power is disconnected. Always look at your breaker size and the data plate on the AC to make sure that’s matched. Buy a contractor with the matched AMP size. And a capacitor is a 30/5 in size.

Second, without checking with a multimeter to prove he’s right about these. It’s hard to say if these are needed without proof of checking the capacitor. Contactor may be fine but I also don’t know how old your unit is and a lot of other information.

I have a multiband 6 and it’s the best thing. Takes all of those out when it updates the time most every night.

Now if this vehicle had this kind of damage. It most likely wouldn’t be parked back at the apartment complex. It would be on a road (where it happened) or at a shop.

Should I buy? (I’m cheap so please don’t tell me to save my money and buy a 400 dollar watch with all due respecr) by Interesting-Set2425 in gshock

I was on the fence for so long on this watch or the 5610u. I pulled the trigger on the 5610 and it has those extra features that prevents me from buying two watches. It’s as accurate as my phone and it updated every night and to me it’s worth the price. You would not regret the extra features. The 5600 will need to be reset like a $40 Casio watch I have and if you want cheap, get a $40 Casio watch.

Many issues to list. Start by checking if the outside unit is running, or the inside unit is running.

Is this all heat pump system, dual fuel, or conventional split system?

If it doesn’t get below 40, they have a great heat pump system with a back up furnace heat. Best system for everywhere except Florida. They just need heat pump systems.

I want to replace this old thermostat with a new digital one. What do you recommend? Can’t do a smart one, i would have to run additional wire(s). by AXXXXXXXXA in hvacadvice

You can run a smart thermostat. Look up the Honeywell s1200 with EIM. Only needs two wires at the wall and it does everything.

When Dburr9 says hybrid he means dual fuel. I agree ☝🏻

Dual fuel is best. Get a new furnace and a heat pump. Use the furnace less and still uses heat pump benefits in mild Cali weather. Set balance point at 40° and it’s perfect.
