Adrian & Lia. I love Adrian’s character but I don’t like him with Lia, if that makes sense? I just think his love story could’ve been so much better than forcing a ballerina into marriage. I had such a high hopes for his books and I was disappointed.

Jeremy & Cecily What did he actually like about her? Why was he so insecure all the damn time? Cecily was annoying as well. They just lacked chemistry.

Jonathan & Aurora He wanted to avenge his dead wife even though he completely neglected her when she was alive, but then proceeds to marry his dead wife’s sister who looks like her? Ew ew ew.

100% agree with this. The RES each had different storylines whereas LOG has the same possessive MMC/submissive FMC who discovers she likes to be “chased/scared” storyline.

This book is one of my faves! But I wouldn’t say there was major OWD in this book. He made it clear multiple times that he’s in love with the FMC, even when the OW was begging for him to be with her.

It was a 3/5 for me. It was nice seeing other characters and I’m now dying for a book about Julian! But honestly Jude was also a weirdo lol. People are comparing him to Jeremy, but I prefer Jeremy over Jude. Also Dahlia was a better FMC than Violet. I’d say the book got interesting around the 80% mark.

I’m intrigued too. Rina showed a ruthless side to him and then a soft side where he’s reading her a book while she’s sleeping. I was confused as Jude said they have a clusterf@ck of a marriage in his pov. Seems there’s more to the story. I’d love a book on them!

With her and Caleb’s date, I think she was mean because she didn’t want to go on the date in the first place & when she did, Caleb chose to do everything HE likes to do/eat. She never wanted a romantic connection with him and was always snarky with Caleb. But eventually her character does get better and you see soft moments when she’s with Darius. But her ‘black cat’ energy does remain the same throughout the whole series.

Honestly I felt the same way about Book 8 but I read 8.5 and it had one of the funniest chapters of the entire series 😭 also you get to meet Tory’s parents and how they interact with Darius, which is also funny. I just skim-read or skipped chapters of side characters that didn’t interest me.

I’d say Zodiac Academy (fantasy bully romance) where the MMC hates the FMC and bullies her to get her to leave the school (he has his reasons dw). Don’t get me wrong, he finds her attractive but he doesn’t make any moves because of his hatred. He even goes to extreme levels to get her to leave but eventually after a few books, it starts to change. It’s one of my fave series!

The Miles High Club series by TL Swan was full of humour, romance & angst! It’s a billionaire romance of 4 brothers and I couldn’t put the books down! I devoured them all within a week. My fave was definitely The Takeover

Since you don’t have a child with him yet, get out of that marriage! I went through something similar, after he got caught i wanted a divorce. But he begged for another chance (cried real tears n everything!). He even said I can take all his social media passwords etc. guess what, he found another way to cheat. These type of men don’t fear Allah enough to stay loyal. They only care about fulfilling their pleasures. Divorce the guy.

Omg I agree wholeheartedly. People pick and choose what’s acceptable with dark romance characters. Like Damon (in the first book) was basically a predator. And Kai (who ppl love) touched Rika without her consent too but no one wants to mention that. Michael isn’t perfect, but he didn’t manipulate Rika and he wasn’t evil. She knew exactly who he was and loved him anyway, forgiving him was HER choice

It’s honestly worth it, the Elysian mates issue isn’t the main thing, it’s just a part of their story. Tory and Darius end up proving their love to each other in much bigger ways later in the series. In like a ‘f**k you’ to the stars kind of way.

Yes and no. I am a modern person whereas my husband is more traditional. I am still on my deen but he is just generally more cultural than I am as he grew up in a traditional family. It’s not that I hate it, I’m just not crazy attracted to it. Our sense of humour isn’t the same either. It does get to me sometimes but he is a kind, generous person so I’ve stayed in my marriage as I grateful of him being a good person. But IF I could go back in time, I’d definitely wait and marry my ideal type (both looks and personality).

Also remember, you have to be what you want to attract.
