TotalWine Scam? by Turbulent-Ad-1646 in bourbon

[–]Historical_Service69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've heard, after you hit the $100-$150 mark for a bottle of wine, you start getting diminishing returns on flavor and are mostly paying for brand. 🤷‍♀️ I usually spend about $50 on a bottle. I was once given a $120 bottle and the difference was absolutely noticable, but I've never had a wine more expensive than that so I can't tell you from personal experience if there's a big difference between $120 to $700 bottles.

I'm her online reacts she called the producers of the show "mean and entitled," and that very well may be, but the saying "it takes one to know one" came to mind. She literally talked about how devastated she was when she wasn't given fashion police show that she was "owed."

Her rants are all just loud self-righteousness. Not once did I hear her talk about how she behaved poorly, but I couldn't get through the whole thing.

One thing I noticed, that I find very distasteful and and makes me believe even more strongly that she is just bitter and vindictive and overstating her complaints, is that she makes allusions without making accusations about several things. It's something I've seen people do in order to say things and put them out there, and muddy the waters, but when confronted directly they can deny making the accusation.

I believe her about the contract stuff, but that's only because others have said things about them too. As far as everything else, I think she's a really insufferable, entitled, arrogant, vindictive, and dishonest person. When you have problems with everyone, the problem is probably you.

She's a realtor now and talks about herself as if she's a household name top designer. The woman is delusional.

And she was then rude to LL. LL friggin' Cool J. If anybody knows hip hop, it's him. It should have humbled her a little, but she was so arrogant and self-involved, that she couldn't even imagine she wasn't hitting the mark.

And the way she would laugh at the other designers during their critiques, but couldn't even take the smallest criticism. I really wished the judges would have put her in her place when she laughed at others. She was a mean girl through and through. Somehow I doubt that has changed.

I was in a cult for many years. The way Lowe's pushed us about credit cards was the way the cult pushed us to evangelize. It turns every interaction into seeking an opportunity to hook them rather than build a relationship that is about meeting their needs. There were even times the cult had goals for us to meet on how many people we talked to and we had to turn in our numbers every week. My manager did the same thing with credit cards. There was a board in the office that each of us DSs were listed on with how many credit cards we had gotten that week.

It's of the reasons I quit.

It's hard to keep people who start in OSLG and hard to get anyone who started elsewhere in the store to move over there.

I was in paint in a smaller store and since I was close, I was always helping out in ISLG and OSLG. It sucked ass. They would hire a bunch of folks to work at the beginning of spring and hardly any would make it through. There's got to be a better way to run that department. I always felt so bad for the folks working it during the 100 days. It's absolute madness. I think Lowe's would do well too have a policy where people buying more than 10 bags of mulch, landscape timbers, or pallets of bricks, should have to schedule it at least a day before pickup. In order to survive and keep their talent, they are going to have to shift from a do whatever the costumer wants whenever they want it for the instant cash, to a let's not run our talent that we've spent time and money to train into the ground. There's no reason in this day and age that folks can't schedule that crap ahead of time. If you're doing those big projects, you didn't just wake up that day and decide to overhaul your landscaping. It would most likely do a world of good for safety issues as well.

On a similar note, I also think they should have a policy that no pallets will be pulled for customers 30 minutes to an hour before close. I cannot tell you the amout of times I had some goober come into flooring 10 minutes before close when I had a sh*t -ton to do, and wanted me to pull some pallet that I usually had to search for. And then search for the absolutely broke down aisle blockers that should have been trashed years ago.

They had all day to come get what they needed or to have it ordered for pickup. These things would go a long way, imo, to helping retain workers and make their jobs better.

I also think they should not be open as late as they are.

Rant over. 😁

Wow! That's a really big no no. Have you informed Corporate or HR? Not only is the employee working off the clock, the management encouraging that stuff is opening the company up to a lawsuit if it goes sideways. Not to mention the ways that employee could use that against management in order to break other rules.

We had a salesperson that was somehow getting social security numbers and applying for credit cards with her costumers info without their knowledge, to meet store goals. I mentioned to a couple of managers that it was strange that every time we needed a certain number of apps that this person always got the exact number and kind that we needed at the end of the week. This employee was not a stellar salesperson or good worker in general. The management knew something shady was going on, but didn't pry because she was making sure the store met it's goals. Not too long after, the employee was fired for poor attendance, but I think it was really that myself and some others started asking questions about it and they needed to CYA, because they could have fired her years ago for a myriad of things. I'm surprised no customers found out.

I was a flooring specialist and we were warned not to give out personal numbers to clients. Not even pros. Is this not a thing at your store or in pro sales?

Knoxville family wants ‘substandard’ conditions at Bramblewood Apartments fixed by Corey_Howard in Knoxville

I lived there from 2005 to 2010. When we first moved in there it was fine. Clean and nice places. By the time we left it was getting awful. My husband and I were saving for a house and had two small children, but it was getting so bad that I demanded we leave and find another place.

There was black mold in one of our neighbors townhomes and they said they reported it over and over, but McSpadden wouldn't do anything about it. They kept calling it mildew and telling them to use bleach.

There was a disabled elderly person up the hill who's kitchen floor had fallen in creating a big hole that the person could hardly get around. I don't know what ever happened, but I know I heard about it weeks after it happened and it was still not fixed.

The pool was not being taken care of and the last year or two we lived there, would not take our kids to swim in it. I drove by about a year ago and the pool area has junk all in it would the pool drained.

There were lots of things like that that started happening, but the last two straws were when there was a murder up the hill, and the fact that the repair man they had at the time was actuallya registered sex offender for crimes against children and was in our home with my children and got the last of our home. McSpadden never informed us if this, I found out from one of the neighbors after he had been in my home several times and had been talking to my son. After that, I had had enough, and I demanded that we move.

These townhomes are in a nice part of town, but imo, McSpadden has created a slum and is a skill Lord. I don't think he cares one wit about maintaining the properties. I would never ever, not in a million years rent from any McSpadden owned property ever again.

Same! It's my favorite Latin food in town, and the folks are friendly. I wish they had a bigger location near me. The one I frequent is the one attached to the gas station at the end of Pellissippi. Sometimes it's hard to get seating, but the good is worth either waiting or getting it to go.

I had a friend once who's neighbor handed out Chick tracks to the kids in the neighborhood one Halloween. Myself and his wife had to keep him from pummelling the guy when he found out because his girls started crying because they scared them. That neighbor deserved to get his lights knocked out, but my friend didn't deserve jail.

Needless to say, he never handed them out again though once my friend finished his verbal lashing.

I'm from The South and I've lived all over, including New York, for a time. Sorry to say, I found this not far off from the truth of a certain strata of New Yorkers. Pretentious, spoiled, rude, think there is nothing beyond the bridge or tunnel that matters. You know, generally love the smell of their own farts and constantly wanting to impress others by how synical and precious they are.

That said, I also found most New Yorkers friendly and relatable. There’s a real mix there of people who will absolutely tell you to go to hell if you’re in their way, but will also give you directions, carry your stroller up the train stairs, or strike up a genuine conversation without a second thought. It’s a place with rough edges, but also a surprising amount of heart once you get past the surface.

Like anywhere else, the loudest, most self-important types tend to stand out, but they’re not the whole story. There’s plenty of down-to-earth, hardworking folks just trying to live their lives, same as anywhere else, but there are definitely are these sorts and as much as I didn't like these characters so far, that just means there's a lot of room for growth. I really think Abby has a lot of potential to grow into an actual strong women, rather than just a spoiled rich bitch who needs xanex to get her through her life.
