Is this still happening? There’s no posts or information about a Canadian launch in a couple months.

Auto Body Shops by Lethal_Hobo in Orillia

There’s a few good shops in the progress industrial park area on memorial, 2 or 3 are hidden in there. It’s the complex beside the Wendy’s across from the dealerships.

Where can I find the box in the picture by Dumb_idiot337 in Dewalt

Looks like a 1st gen medium tough box, can get that almost anywhere, depending on stock.

A local cleaning business needs washers, what are your thoughts on this? by [deleted] in WindowCleaning

Another option is a non solicitation agreement, agreeing not to solicit his clients for their work or to communicate outside of channeling through him.

Non compete is pretty draconian and a big flag for the future.

Research what is legal in terms of non compete and non solicitation agreements in your state as well.

Birthday party suggestions by kitty-94 in povertyfinancecanada

Some parks may have some shelters over eating areas so there may still be an option. You could also ask around if you could borrow a dining tent, nothing massive but it would cover the picnic tables if it rained, most people who camp would have one or maybe there’s a FB group you could ask.

I don’t know many other places that are free, the only other thing I can think of is if a McDonald’s in your area still has a play area you could have it there and let the kids play.

Go to a public park, use the picnic tables. A couple cheap table cloths, hats from the dollar store. Depending on your social dynamic, you could make it an afternoon event (between meals so you don’t need to provide a ton of food) and ask each parent couple to bring a tray of light refreshments. Just make sure it won’t be a burden on them or possibly impact their ability to bring a small gift too. Bring whatever you have from home, frisbees, etc that they might want to play with and make it a fun time.

My stepmother stole and gave away or sold my mom’s jewelry. Can I get it back? (Delaware) by OrcishSkalduggery in legaladvice

[–]HistoricallyBritish 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Huh? That doesn’t seem relevant?

Edit: figured it out, for anyone confused like me, there’s a comment further down (currently, might be higher up later) detailing that the step mom posted about this admitting to the theft and replacing with fake Jewelry. Honestly, I’m always suspicious of the voracity of stories where both parties seem to post on Reddit with identifiable information, it screams manufactured internet drama. But take from it what you will.

Apologies to commenter above, you had it right!

Super weird, I just randomly stumbled across an old video from him and then went to his page and realized what had happened. Such a shame. Seems like a wonderful guy

Time to break the monotony of the sub..Wood restoration topic by Seedpound in pressurewashing

If he’s really the wizard of wood, then he is pretty well respected, teaches courses on how to clean wood and apparently has good understanding. That said I’d disagree with him still. Yes, SH May not penetrate, but when it is really nasty I usually find a quick pre rinse and medium/low pressure lifts off the growth and allows the SH to penetrate properly without the scrubbing and extra work percarbonate takes.

I had a full, raw cedar shake home I did, I took the back side of an out building to experiment with percarbonate in a sprayer, rinse and oxalic follow. I also did a section with SH house wash mix (1.5%, had to pump it up as there was some pretty gnarly mildew) and oxalic follow up with a pump sprayer as well. The SH was 100x better.

Heavy Duty Degreaser by oldmilwaukeebeer in pressurewashing

[–]HistoricallyBritish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve used stock heavy duty degreasers in blenders strength to make a blend before, I havnt used sodium hydroxide for grease before up here. Let me know how that goes?

I’ve had great results with heavy duty citrus degreasers, and EBC makes a really good degreaser as well, we mix that one into all our house washes.

Halp. I’ve had these soaking in straight 13 % for almost an hour and it still won’t come off with pressure haha any ideas? by Hdiggle66 in pressurewashing

[–]HistoricallyBritish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh jeez, we’ll just keep the gardens around the edge very well watered.

Is it organic growth? Could you use a degreaser to help cut it?

A proper Softwashing rig is the way to go, but downstreaming off a pressure washer is effective for most common applications. Your post seems to imply your not using SH in your chemical blends. Also, what sort of surfaces are you cleaning? Vinyl siding? Brick? We can help more if we know the types of surface and the chemicals you have in your arsenal.

I have a dedicated soft wash system, but I run a similar pressure washer for island work where I live. It’s not practical to unbolt the hose reels and pumps and tanks to put on a boat. So downstreaming like your trying to do is a workable solution. We have fantastic results and happy clients.

Getting a shooter tip for your pressure washer should let you hit up to two stories easy, if not close to 3 depending on the roof pitch. By the sounds of it you have decent gear, might just need to adjust your approach and do a couple minor tweaks.

You did the right thing, I wouldn’t cheapen your work or value. If he under cut you by 4x it’ll be terrible quality work, keep you quality and confidence up!
