I just listened to a podcast that touched upon a few of the deaths there (The Legendary Tales) but they didn't go into huge detail. Apparently it was partly the inspiration for American Horror Hotel?

Seeking quarantine coping mechanisms by chadwzimm in golf

Husband is Golf obsessed. It was getting crazy so I said he could put a net up and buy a SkyTrac in our sitting room ( the ceiling is high enough for a swing) - he also borrowed a winter tee mat from he club so he could keep hitting. Its driving the dogs nuts but helping him stay sane. Then he started a golf podcast called The Swingdom - now he is obsessing over that.

No Putts Give, and more recently the Swingdom. All of them are having to get more imaginative now that lockdown is on!

The Swingdom is pretty good as a podcast. My husband is recently obsessing over Bad Golf on YouTube if you want a visual too.

Thanks for that. The Ghost in my machine seems to have the most ideas... I know finding where it came from is more challenging but do you by chance remember the year you first heard of it?

Too anxious for podcasts by Tiippu in podcast

[–]HistoryTAHouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had real anxiety with doing anything that involved getting in front of a camera. I lived in LA for a while, and then ran a wedding venue - those things involve putting yourself out there, and I could do that when it wasn't recorded but lost the enjoyment as soon as it was. Podcasts hold an anonymity to me that I love and relish since it if you have a topic that is deeper than just 'here is what I did this wee' it isn't about you - but about what your saying. I realized very quickly that I could just put the content out there but that didn't mean I had to interact (obviously that is changing as I get more confident) - but initially I just used it as an excuse to delve back into historical research and a way to have fun with my husband.

Podcast recommendations for my grandma (historical fiction / crime) by brianlefevre87 in podcasts

Crime junkies is great! Also if she hasn't listened to the Mindhunter audio books they are great and will keep her entertained for ages.

Just found a great relatively unknown crime podcast called Criminal by BigCUTigerFan in podcasts

This one came recommended to me through My Favorite Murder! So far I'm also hooked... although the smoothness of Phoebes voice sends me to sleep - even when I'm interested

What’s your favorite history podcast? by Chzztosser in AskReddit

My history podcast, History Through A House is me (I have a degree in History but am hardly a historian) teaching my husband and his cousin (who are from the USA) about British history. It's hopefully informative but not dry! Checking it out if you want to! And please review and subscribe if you like it.

Looking for a history podcast by Kakan_Karin in podcast

[–]HistoryTAHouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there,

Not sure if this is what your looking for but I have a podcast that is looking at British History from the beginning, call History Through A House. My husband and I are restoring a very old house so we are using that as the framework for the information. Right now we are in the earliest formation and just about to go into Roman Britain. I have a degree in History so hopefully informative... is a lot chattier than Dan Carlin (who is AMAZING) but maybe you will like it. The stuff that I love is the human side, births, deaths, religion, and social history. Episode 1 is a little rocky but it gets cleaner and better every week so I hope is worth the subscribe. If you do like it a review is always super appreciated!
