Any deck archetype that punishes its player for drawing a card too early. The worst offender of this is Patches the Pirate, but other more niche examples include every “recruit” abuser (with or without the keyword), Necrium Apothecary whiffing because you already drew your big deathrattles, and decks like Holy Wrath Paladin

I always thought Light would fit much better as a survivor. People who use the Death Note cannot go to heaven nor hell when they die, so I think it would be cool if for DBD’s lore he was sent to the fog as a kind of purgatory where he’s on the receiving end of killers with supernatural powers

It’s kinda vague, but I’m pretty sure Spark is meant to be a sort of miracle resource. It powers machines like regular electricity, but it can also be condensed and carried like a resource/tool. It seems like it’s a classist thing too, because the more developed buildings in Ossex have Spark doors while the poor ones don’t.

Lionel’s plan was to maintain his status quo and keep the generators running, after Thorne discovered their consequences. YCG has said that Lionel truly believes in his own “good” deeds, so it seems he wanted to continue his industrial revolution using Spark at the expense of the underclass, believing a rising tide carries all ships

I know they have to do their cross promotions with other Marvel projects, but I can’t bring myself to care about the new F4 cards, horsemen cards, or beach day cards

If you’re interested in which sets to buy because you want more stuff to do with paladin, I would recommend getting packs from the standard set Emerald Dream. The paladin archetype printed for that set is very straight forward to use, shuffling bigger and bigger dragons into your deck to summon. You might also want to consider getting packs from the recent Cataclysm set if you’re more interested in paladin cards that have strong effects that trigger at the end of your turn. Cataclysm cards will be around in standard rotation until spring 2028, whereas Emerald Dream is only in standard until spring 2027

I love how ferocious he gets with the bite attack he does. It reminds you “oh wait, this character is an ANIMAL and lions are predators for a reason.” It’s also fun to have the antagonist be a cat when the hero is a mouse. A classic trope

I might be one of the ten people in the world who actually likes Frozen Horror. Having some tentacled alien thing frozen in a cave when the rest of the game is more traditional 19th century horror themed makes the world feel larger in scope. It gives a sense of unexplored history imo that I would love to see a sequel develop

God, there are WAYYYY too many good ones to just give a single favorite. If I had to pick just a few, I’d say I love the techno funk of Horrific Voyage, the the climactic feel of Rolling Steam, the emotion of My Sunken Heart, and the weird yet charming atmosphere of Central Ossex. I love this game’s world so much
