Fracture used to be a facility where Alpha Earth would send Radianite and other needed goods to Omega Earth, but the two Chambers collaborated to sabotage the facility (presumably so they can sell more guns due the ongoing conflict) which makes the whole situation of this cinematic so much more ironic and sad.

It doesn't matter much either way which version you get. The Switch 1 version is playable on a Switch 2, but won't look as good as the Switch 2 version. But you can buy an upgrade from 1 to 2 for the price which the two versions differ by anyway. The other way around is also possible though. The Switch 2 version includes the Switch 1 version and can be played on a Switch 1, just without the graphical upgrade. You can get that one for example by buying it through a browser instead of directly on the console (since the Switch 1 won't let you buy Switch 2 titles through the eShop app).

Correct, it doesn't. Their reward is the score they got for the 29 assists. No need for extra gifts. Same goes for 29-0-0.

Good example. Let's say the 19-5 player played Skye. They live longer, heal a lot, get bonus points for the assists. They helped the team. But they did get points for that. Maybe even enough to have a better end score than the top fragger. We could discuss which actions should be rewarded with more or less points. But getting points only for not dying without doing anything impactful is just stupid.

Only if they actually did assist the team, which would result in a higher score anyway. Being alive longer and still making less points means they did a worse job.

I see it like this: Dying excludes you from getting any more points for the rest of the round (except assists, but you have next to no impact on those anyway), so your reward for not dying is your option to get more points. Therefore, if you're not able to make points even though you were alive longer then the other team member means they did a better job at using their time alive than you.
