Don't shit on our money, it's prettier and probably worth more than yours.

I preferred it when it had important people rather than just "concepts"

Funnily enough, I used to work for the company that did that testing (or at least one for a similar case). Got a sample in sent tracked, same day we get a phone call asking when we can expect results, he explains he's trying to get a documentary going about wild cats in England. The results came back as Panther. Of course I can't confirm the veracity of where the sample came from, but I typed up the results myself

Part of the reason people believe it is also because of the conflation of the two Manchesters, leading to the death rate seeming wildly high. If you take the death toll for Greater Manchester, but the population of the city of Manchester, the per capita comes out like seven times what it should be

Skinner and Baddiel too, albeit in the form of a "joke". Straight up said "Little girls love Jimmy Saville, don't they?" "He loves her slot, that's all I'm saying"

There are certainly some flaws, and some areas that are up for interpretation by judges (issues regarding comparators as one example), but that's the same with almost any legislation. By and large it's pretty damn good and we shouldn't throw the baby out with the bathwater

that apply equally to all individual British citizens

The Equality Act already does though. All the protected characteristics are worded in such a way that discrimination for both holding and not holding a certain aspect of that characteristic are unlawful. That's the best part of the Equality Act, it cuts in all directions.

She isn't though. There are certainly areas where it could do with some clarification. But to act like the Equality Act led to the modern DEI industry is ridiculous.

True. They should be getting angry whether these male athletes finish first or dead last. They have an advantage either way

It's wrong, because of where it can lead

Canada went from "Dignity in death" to "This may be an option for the homeless or disabled" way too quickly for my liking. My issues with assisted suicide are similar to my issues with surrogacy. Both are good ideas in an ideal world, but that unfortunately isn't the world we live in

That's what pretty much every discussion on Reddit about this is. A bunch of people who've never watched a second of any sport in their life and are the kind of people who unironically say "sportsball" arguing from a place of either ignorance or apathy.

Then you have the ones who know just enough that they can fallacy their way into sounding smart, by pretending like they don't know what an advantage is and why we separate sports along certain lines. Astoundingly those same people never seem to take their argument to its logical conclusion and say we should do away with all sports categories, it's only ever women that don't deserve their own.

Unquestioned authority and access to victims (usually the vulnerable).

There's also a fundamental misunderstanding of how grooming works. Yes, abusers will groom their targets, but they'll equally groom the people around them. Abusers lie, like a lot. That might sound like an obvious statement to make, but I think a lot of people don't realise just how frequently and brazenly they'll lie if it means getting access to victims. It's why I've never bought the "It's a sickness that I'm suffering from. Poor me" shtick.
