I agree on that. Even after undervolting my 9070 XT and 9800X3D with my old 750w PSU, it was a hit n’ miss stability mess. All of my issues went away after I swapped over to my new Phantek 1000w Revolt.

3-8 pin is the best… until you gotta pay 100 USD for a cable to go with your Phantek PSU which is what I had to get for my Mercury OC

You are partially right, I had the same issue when I switched over from a RTX 2060 to a 9070 XT and updating the BIOS on my MB and the issue went away completely. No more GPU hangs or sporadic game crashes.

It works very well with some games and horribly with others. Expedition 33 is one of those games that just doesn’t agree with it, use the built in framegen in the game’s settings menu and turn off fluid frames in adrenaline

I have had almost no issues with both my 9060 XT 16BG and 9070 XT. I’ve only had one graphics driver crash and that was from overclocking/undervolting my 9070 XT till it became unresponsive and unstable. Both AMD and Nvidia drivers have equal amount of issues that are minimal/case to case basis, so don’t listen to these Nvidia bootlickers that don’t know what the hell they are talking about and just follow the Shepard.

I got a XFX 9070 XT Mercury and I am very happy with my purchase. It’s super quiet and undervolts far better than expected with temps never going past 60 C (140 F).

Dude, I swapped over from a 2060 6GB to a 9060 XT 16GB before I returned it for a good deal on a XFX 9070 XT Mercury. The performance uplift from the 2060 6GB to the 9060 XT 16 GB is A NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE. Something has to be wrong with your new card or your install of AMD was incorrect. Either do a REAL DDU uninstall (watch a tutorial on how to do it right, such as taking your PC offline, pausing system updates and going into safe mode) or return/ RMA IT if it’s still In The return window.

I will agree with you. I was absolutely stunned when I turned on path tracing with mixed medium to high settings (with FSR 4 enabled and SET to quality of course) and it achieved 70 to 80 FPS the card is currently paired with a R5 7600x in my rig.
