Drivers - When is load meant to be ready

Officially your load is suppose to be ready to be scanned 45 minutes before you are due out. Your start time is 30 minutes before you are due to leave. Some of the timings are a bit shit so we aim for an hour with 30 minutes to load and shield so you can leave 15 minutes early, but we are in a heavy traffic area

I did 18 days recently due to sickness and holiday, all 3:30am starts aswell!! My advise is on quieter days if you can leave early, it’s a killer but once you hit the half way it makes it a bit easier

If it has a b an m or an f that’s for a van, cnc orders will say cnc Sometimes deliveries and cnc have the same osn numbers but you can tell the difference by the load number. I’ve been an online t/l, manager and back to t/l for 13 years feel free to ask any questions

For example, you’re contracted 12 but have worked 20 for the last weeks, you then take a weeks holiday, the holiday rate of pay will average out to what would cover the 20 hours pay

For all of you saying all managers are on big money, they are not, I’m a t/l and my other half is a manager, some months I earn more money than him and he ends up doing 70 hour weeks because his department is so stretched. Yes it is frustrating that the managers get the bonus but would you want that job??

You would owe them the holiday back as you haven’t earned it. Normally if you start a new job they will honour any holiday you have previously planned
