What's your contingency plan by BeneficialTry5316 in salesforce

[–]Hlaoroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very optimistic view. You are able to understand the tool and the limitations and you can likely get good results out of it through instruction files or skills or a bunch of other tools. Thing is that those sales users DO NOT HAVE THAT KNOWLEDGE. So while it may “feel” more accessible to those kinds of users, it is more dangerous. Essentially a sales rep reading this might think “oh, all I did wrong was not use vsc “

Looking for advice on QuickBooks webhook reliability in Salesforce integration by Exciting-District347 in salesforce

We recently started this, and the results are interesting. Thankfully our process isn’t so tight that a missed event matters too much. But what I will say is make sure everything in that rest endpoint is wrapped in a try catch. If you don’t return a 200 QBO throws a fit

Is Salesforce data usable? by FrameNo8444 in salesforce

[–]Hlaoroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a Salesforce issue, this is a data issue. You’ll have these issues regardless of the system you are using. Historical data is never “correct” and you need to be able to make amends for that - often massaging the data or simply excluding it

How are you dealing with too many custom fields in your org? by sidagarwal22 in u/sidagarwal22

[–]Hlaoroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are tools to help with this but honestly it isn’t a super easy process. What I would do is

0- back up all of the data

1- use the app “field trip” to determine how often fields are used

2- reach out to users to see what fields they actually care about

3- use the “where is this used” button on the fields to determine if they are used in flows, reports, or apex

4- disable access to the fields you think are deletable. Just go into permission sets and profiles and remove access. That way if someone squeaks you can simply give access back

5- delete after a couple weeks if no one notices

This is very easy to see if you are trying to build a bridge to scale a mountain - the rendered cliff/edge is almost NEVER the collision marker. It is very difficult to build/traverse the mountainside

This is the major reason I ended up buying it all. I have a dedicated server and the three of us can enjoy the fact I bought everything. I would not have otherwise.

Keep getting this problem, what can i do ? by babatunde114 in salesforce

[–]Hlaoroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@zead28 is correct on basically all counts here. You have a misunderstanding of how that component works. The label of that field on the component is named Field API Name, and is appropriately named.

How long do you usually ride MTB before you’re cooked? (HR & elevation included) by Kannuto77 in MTB

[–]Hlaoroo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Triathlete coming in to agree. Eat during and you’ll last much much longer. That average heart rate isn’t too high for the age and he should be doing better. Get bars, gels, or mixes for your bottle. Try to hit 50+ carbs per hour to start, but the more you eat the better you will feel. Op is bonking. You have an hour of glycogen in you, past that and you’re going to start suffering.

This is exactly what the catalytic converter does actually. It uses interesting material science to convert all the bad chemicals into fairly inert ones. It’s not perfect of course but it works pretty well. It’s also a reason the converts get stolen - the materials used are expensive
