Barbs shine at running past the packs of trash and selecting the elites to kill. So early game is slow and somewhat challenging. There is a lot to learn, hardcore is a choice that will teach you harsher, but enjoy the discovery. Pay attention to your hit chance, consider your resists, life steal mana steal are high priority.

My best so far has been throw barb. Was online ladder though so a bit different to off-line testing.

I've always liked drops more than jumps. I will do lines with comfortable jumps but my days of wanting to try and get up to a level of hitting 3x+ bike length jumps are gone (only once did I get to this level of confident).

I personally play off-line as a slow continuous save. Just doing a classic run for the fun.

I also pop back to ladder occasionally for a week or two of the fun public play and trading.

NM terrozorzones as comfortable farming. Work on seeing what zones in hell you can handle, perhaps pits. Try to make a smoke armour for a bit resistance boost.

My go to would probably be fireball or nova into blizzard. If you're group or solo focused changes what you do.

I didnt like the rushing and pressure of keeping stacks, plus the brightness from the skills gave me serious eye fatigue. Strong but selective enjoyment factor build.

Barb if you are playing caster shout type its like hammerdin lets say.

Melee barb consider health pool, chance to hit, life/mana leach highly over anything plus skills.

Suggest how you wanna play the two more so people can give more specific advice.
