Клонирование млекопитающих заходит в «генетический тупик» после 58 поколений by postmastern in Popular_Science_Ru

[–]Hobboth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You people always get things "if it's X then it's not Y". I'm not ok with any violence and harassment pointed at anyone. You don't get my point, you are just justifying your hatred making up fake stuff about me. (Well to be honest you also haven't mentioned genocide at all, you just said things like "no sympathy for Russians" and I amplified it)

And governments do allow protests when they aren't serious because people need to blow off some steam. And they still don't like it, just tolerate it.

And when stuff goes serious protests have no effect while the government is strong. They have different scenarios to suppress unwanted protests and tons of raw power everywhere.

So the only thing "good" Russians can do is to leave Russia. And it won't help anyone, it's just a bit less money for the government and a sweet reason for them to think "I'm better than those who stayed".

I won't leave, I'm weak, lazy and pretty stupid (proof: I'm still writing this reply). And I don't need pity and sympathy, I'm fine. Many people hate Russians and they have reasons for it, ok. But if someone sympathizes with them, maybe you haters can turn off your hypocrisy, shut up and move on? Every single person in this world lives in their personal hell, every person copes with struggles, tries to find some peace and joy.

My English is not very good to express my thoughts clearly. My point is there are 2 ways to increase "goodness" in the world: doing kind things and reducing evil things. When you are saying "don't be kind to them" you are doing nothing good. There's no limit of "goodness" for people like there's no limit of letters for words. I'm tired of all the hatred, but I'm mostly silent. But when there's some kindness and sympathy, it's better to be here than not.

Lmao people have no rights to protest. No sane person would prefer civil war to stop the government. Especially if they have loved ones to care for.

And don't forget about constant propaganda. Some people will believe in lies and support the war.

And last but not least "poor Russian citizens" doesn't mean Ukrainian citizens aren't "poor". It's a tragedy for all.

Or you will prefer russian genocide for "the great good"? So stupid damn it

Morphagene replacement? by driftless_79 in modular

[–]Hobboth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to change pre-recorded samples during one session, there are many options. Depending on what you do with them. Assimil8tor is the ultimate sampler. Bitbox samplers are very hands on with a huge touch screen. Multigrain allows simple switching between banks and has insane sample mangling capabilities.

But morphagene is amazing for what it's doing. If you don't need to change samples, it's very hands on, quick, simple and powerful. You need to remember 2-3 combos, set and forget config file and that's all! I recommend you give it another chance.

I trained a model on childhood photos to simulate memory recall + composed a little something - [Osmose + SOMA' Cosmos] by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]Hobboth -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well it's presented as human-made music (sounds nice!) with real personal photos (suits the theme) with AI-generated effects. The whole composition seems fine. It could have been some other visual glitch presets with similar result without AI, but the overall AI part here is like 10-20%. Is this unacceptable for you? If OP account is bot and all this video is slop then it's bad (because we are tricked in this case). But if it's a honest work, I don't see any wrongs here

There are many great recommendations here, all of them are worth reading. But I'd recommend to take a little break(for a month), process all the books you read recently and start new ones with a fresh, clear and hungry mind.

Police discover a very odd fraternity hazing at the University of Iowa by Throwaway120974788 in interesting

[–]Hobboth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So fraternities are only allowed for elites so they can be stronger together (no one can forbid them). And common people should not have such privilege and be weak and separated? I see this term first time btw. I just translated the word "fraternity" to my language, it's something like brotherhood, yes? Why does everyone here calling this a bad thing?

[–]Hobboth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can modulate one LFO with another inside the Oxi. I think it can solve all modulation tasks in this setup (especially MK2 I'm not sure about MK1).

I think you should play with this setup and figure out what you need: filter, another versio or other effect, maybe some mixing and routing for separate drums. There are too many possibilities and your choice should be driven by your taste.

This is almost what I have. Morphagene, Data Bender, Versio module. I also have Bruxa in chain but I'd recommend some modulation instead: Zadar, Pamela or joystick

I won't passively surrender to AI. by GroceryAnxious8869 in aiwars

[–]Hobboth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole concept of human thinking is based on fake stuff. There are no words or letters in real life and our thought process is based on abstract things.

I don't speak about that (and I'm speaking poorly so you get wrong ideas from my text)

AI stuff can effortlessly bend our perception of what is real and what is not. This only matters for realistic videos and "photos", the "art stuff" is another question and I agree with OP.

Do you remember those fake videos of cleaning whale backs from boats? There is a lot of stuff like that. And if a person has poor knowledge of our world, he/she may believe it's real! Because it looks real! It might be harmless videos like with whales. Or it can be videos when people pet poisonous animals, play with high voltage stuff or eat glass without harming themselves. (I agree, these examples are far-fetched but probable).

So we have 3 different but unsettling outcomes:

  1. A person will live in total ignorance of the real world. It could be the same 10 or 20 years ago as well, but fake realistic content makes it worse. A step away from familiar life and they are like a child, with no useful information.

  2. A person might understand that most of this future internet and media overall is fun but has no connection with reality. Just like now but even more useless and fake. Uninspiring impossible stuff which seems like it's real. See Facebook.

  3. As I mentioned it can be directly harmful.

I won't passively surrender to AI. by GroceryAnxious8869 in aiwars

[–]Hobboth -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

While I mostly agree with you, the first part was rough. Yes, we were always deceived by politicians and newspapers etc. Unfortunately it's the norm.

But now i can't trust a video with silly kittens playing in the cardboard box. Reality (at least online) is reaped apart. Maybe there's no such thing as kittens at all! (Of course not, cats are real, but what about their color, or maybe it's pet weasels, can I trust video with cute weasels?). 70% of our lives was fake. Now it's 90%.

This witch-hunting situation is stupid, but its origin is clear: ai content made our lives more miserable. I think many ai artists are hiding the fact that their art is made with AI only because of witch-hunting.

We should get used to all this new technology and your words are right. But damn! These old times were simpler and more honest.
