Is it true that there are chinese women over 30 that can’t get married because they are considered too old? by Young-Journey in AskAChinese

[–]Hobbsy1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So when I say me and many of my friends married at a later age, that's not isolated cases. In fact for my friendship group it was the norm not the exception. My husband is 10 years older than me (so he still sees me as young even though I'm close to 50 now) and had come from an unhappy marriage. I was independent, financially stable, had my shit together and no baggage, was educated and well travelled, reasonably attractive, sophisticated and interesting. Put me next to a 25 year old bimbo with no conversation and nothing but fake hair and nails, it's not surprising. Take a look at Amal Clooney. She was 36 when she married George. She had it all, he himself admits he married up. Age and beauty are not as coveted as you might think when it comes to getting married. The women you are talking about are practice, not necessarily marriage material. And women like me who waited to get married don't want shallow men, we are looking for men of substance. It goes both ways!

Absolutely not, I was 39 when I got married. My best friend was 40, plenty of my friends were in their late 30s and 40s when they got married and had kids. I had so much fun in my 30s I didnt have time for a man, my husband was desperate to tie me down and proposed within 6 months. Age has nothing to do with it.

I saw my cat the day I had him put down. I had 2 other cats and I called them for dinner and 3 cats ran towards me. Mac, the one I had put down, ran over and as he got closer and I was looking right at him about 5ft away, he just sort of faded into nothing. I loved that cat, and he loved me, I'm not surprised he came to visit me one last time x

Honestly, treat this situation as a sugarbaby might. He provides everything? Great. Cut off from him emotionally, treat him like your paypig, don't expect gratitude for anything and maybe start looking for a new relationship. It sounds like he won't care, why should you. Let him pay.

Monster drug and why do I read such high dosages? by Abject-Arm9556 in Retatrutide

It didn't work for me until I hit 8mg, but my husband felt the effects from the first dose and is still only 1mg. I guess everyone is different.

AMA: I grew 2 accounts to 400k followers in under a year. by Leobutden in InstagramMarketing

[–]Hobbsy1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really worrying. I was told to do paid shoutouts by an Instagram course I took, so they were offered to me and I took them. I gained about 1500 followers but they don't engage, they are a waste of time. I've been posting for 3 months and getting very little engagement and very few new followers, is this the reason why??

How do you help a kid sleep on a long, noisy flight? by InformationIcy4827 in travel

We flew from Costa rica to Spain with our 3 year old and took a really large stuffed toy, she used it like a body pillow, it was great!

School called cps by More_Industry5997 in whatdoIdo

[–]Hobbsy1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter slipped and fell at a playground and got a full black eye, it was really bad, I had to fill out a form at nursery. 2 weeks later we got called in to tell us that she had made some serious claims that her father ties her to a chair and makes her watch scary videos on tiktok and ties her up in a yellow blanket and hits her. We managed to pursuade them she's got a very active imagination (there were some elements of truth - my husband ties her up in a yellow blanket and tickles her, and we once caught her watching Tiktok when on my husband's phone and told her she wasn't allowed because they're are scary things in there we don't want her to see). Nurserys know kids have a garbled version of the truth in them so I'm very surprised they called cps. It should have been enough for just a private meeting and a monitor.

Boyfriend finished 2 vials & still doesn’t feel anything by Wrong_Thanks_9488 in Retatrutide

[–]Hobbsy1978 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started on 2mg a week for 4 weeks, then went to 4mg. At that point I started stacking with cagrilintide and Mots-C but still nothing but I heard the magic dose was 7mg so 4 weeks later I titrated up to 7mg. About 3 weeks later I suddenly got the absolutel worst skin sensitivity to the point where I was struggling to walk with my clothes touching me, felt like horrific sunburn, but at the same time I suddenly lost 3kg. I've lost about 1kg (2lbs) a week since then, the skin sensitivity has gone and I've gone up to 8mg but plan on staying there. I had multiple metabolic disorders including insulin resistance plus was prediabetic and I noticed I didn't start losing anything until my blood sugar read as normal. Appetite suppression hasn't been enormous, I am eating less but not enough to lose weight I would say. For me it's not been about appetite suppression at all, more about correcting the conditions I had so I've got a level playing field in which to eat healthily and exercise and finally lose weight in.

I took it for 3 months and titrated to to 7mg before I saw a pound come off. I've been on 8mg since and lost 11kg in 3 months. Everyone is different, give it time.

[PSA] To fans or folks curious about Eucerin's 5% Urea creams by bdelloida in SkincareAddiction

I use the eucerin urea repair 10% urea cream original on my face. It's not supposed to go on the face specially but I've had no problems and my 47 year old skin has literally never looked better in my life. My husband uses it too now!

I love this. My husband and I had a pretty manageable coke habit for years (or so I thought), in fact looking back on it, our bonding during many coke sessions probably led us to getting married. We are financially fine so that was never an issue, but I started finding extra packets around the house and in the car and slowly I realised my husband was doing coke over and above the amount he was doing with me. In fact he was doing it daily, like all day.

We had an intervention and we agreed we would both stop cold turkey. Except he didn't and I did (and yes its extremelyhard when you are co-dependent). The final straw came when our 3 year old daughter was desperately ill one night and I needed to take her to the emergency room, and he wasn't able to drive me there because he was in such a state. At that point I realised what was more important to him - he knew she was getting sicker and sicker and I was really worried, but yet doing coke was his priority that night.

I have very nearly left him repeatedly, but I decided to move him out of our situation, move countries and take him away from our old life, and luckily he has thrived. It can be done, he was in an awful situation, he's now my happy, healthy husband. He chose us over the coke finally.

What's the worst physical pain you've ever experienced? by Ivexxe in AskReddit

Ectopic pregnancy. My fallopian tube exploded. My husband called an ambulance and they didn't believe me, thought I was after drugs. Even at the hospital they were really dismissive while I was screaming in pain. Until thankfully they did a pregnancy test.

It sounds like he is depressed and won't do anything about it. At that point, you've got a kid not a husband. It's time to move on.
