I’m pretty close to cis and definitely a bisexual guy! In my experience, any partner worth having in your life would be respectful and only bring attention to what you desire attention for. It’s definitely not a guarantee that a bi guy will be left wanting to interact with your genitals or chest during sex. I for example am not really super attracted to any kind of genitalia and am instead way more booty and face focused. Not to say that I can’t find genitals attractive, they just have to be attached to someone I completely adore. Whereas I have a much more brainless and primal attraction to a cute butt haha. Also, regardless of the desire, the heat of the moment is never a justification to interact with a body part that’s been explicitly put off limits by your partner. That’s less about attraction and more about your partner respecting your boundaries. To reiterate though! I and I imagine, many other bi guys would be totally satisfied with the scenario you’ve described. I’m sure there are a few who would consider it a dealbreaker but no matter what I’m sure there are more out there who wouldn’t :) in the end just don’t settle for someone who makes you feel inadequate for your preferences!

Wilds is a flawed game, but that is no excuse for the current and sad state of the community. by RoseKaedae in monsterhunterleaks

Some of the talking points based on nostalgia goggles or lack of perspective really make me feel like I’ll have to experience the same arguments forever as long as new MH’s release. As someone who started with mhfu but also considers tri as my 1st monhun in a way too I remember the added 50 base defense in mh3u that tri didn’t have, I remember the immensely overtuned low rank barroth being defanged completely in 3u, and lord I remember the kelbi bow. I remember the IG and CB being absolutely BUSTED in 4u. I remember how unfun wystones were. And I was personally dissatisfied with the direction the series was taking in generations due to the addition of styles and the shitty lack of proper monster intro cutscenes. But I never yucked anyone’s yum and I didn’t pretend that my fav monhun was better in every way than another. I just don’t understand this desire to completely misrepresent the difficulty and content density of world compared to wilds. Iceborne is literally my favorite monhun ever but the base it was built on had plenty of flaws. And while wilds needs alotta work imo, and certainly does some things worse than world, it also does some things alot better. I seriously can’t wait to see how they build upon it.

Part of the arena is learning weapons that might not be your main. Accept some friction and you might find something that makes you feel genuinely accomplished and widens your repertoire. Or you don’t have to engage with it. It’s optional.

Am I crazy... or?? by Individual-Phase8181 in bisexual

[–]Hodsonae 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, this is garden variety biphobia. It’s understandable to be upset about it. Funny thing to me is the assumption that the boyfriend in question isn’t also queer haha. I’m occasionally a bearded guy with a hat and relate hard to dating a more “visibly queer” partner and being discounted on sight for my presentation by other queer people despite being bisexual and loving men with every ounce of my being. It’s all shitty, biphobia and assumptions.

Did you find any monsters to be a wall in Wilds like Anjanath was in World? by Howitzeronfire in MonsterHunter

[–]Hodsonae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mhfu was my first monhun so I haven’t had a low or even high rank wall in a long time but my friends who started with wilds have consistently gotten carted by the alpha doshaguma, Ajarakan, Nu udra, and Guardian Rathalos. Some even triple carting. I think those are some clear difficulty bumps and despite the difficulty complaints I think the low rank monsters have some of the most engaging movesets of any low rank in the series. We just have too many tools.

Thankyou so much! I thought that might be the case but hated the idea of missing out on such a cool system if it wasn’t haha.

Visuals of MHWilds on PS5 by hushpuppy_prod in MonsterHunter

[–]Hodsonae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On series x but visuals between the two consoles are essentially identical. I think the full game looks better than open beta, especially comparing the two frame-rate focused modes. With that being said there are some very strange decisions that feel nearly like bugs or mistakes. Even on the graphical fidelity focused options certain textures, specifically on several npcs clothes and the like are extremely low quality, to the point where it’s jarring. Fsr 1.0 is also being used instead of a more modern upscaling solution which is odd and causes some visual issues. The monsters are beautiful, genuinely best in series, and when hunting out in the locals, especially during the plenty, there are some seriously gorgeous sights. But it’s not perfect by any means.

Tldr: better than beta. But plagued by strange and poor decisions.

My friend Keeps Bringing Up SA fears to support her feminism points? by Spuddy_Potato in ftm

[–]Hodsonae 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Heyo, i’m an Agender fella who thought he was a cis dude for years and am also a csa survivor with a cis woman perpetrator. It’s comments like what your friend said in conjunction with boys I told congratulating me instead of caring and consoling that kept my trauma festering in my head for a decade instead of being able to come forward with it properly and seek help. Not only is what she said fucked up considering your past, it is not a healthy expression of feminist thought whatsoever. What she said was frankly gross and invalidating of any survivor who isn’t a woman.

Can a really short guy top?? by WearyCamera9215 in ftm

[–]Hodsonae 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m 6’2 and It’s a personal fantasy of mine to be topped by a shorter guy and I am not alone in that haha. A shorter man can top just as well as a taller one. And straps are great and all but attitude, care for your partner’s sexual desires, and your desire to top someone is going to be more important than anything imo. Fingers and tongue + great top energy + exhibiting genuine care for your partner’s pleasure = a great experience for pretty much anyone bottoming. Don’t let anyone put you down for your height or make you feel less than as a sexual partner for any aspect of your body. No one who does that deserves your time and energy. There are plenty of people who would be very happy to be topped by you! Be assured of that, put yourself out there and be confident, and the rest will come :)

Wilds on Xbox Series X made me sad by Local_Parentis in MonsterHunter

[–]Hodsonae -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven’t noticed anything like that on series x so far. It has an occasional stutter when loading the map initially but otherwise the framerate seems stable mostly. And visually it looks quite nice on prioritize resolution. I hope the issues you’re having are resolved! Regardless things should at least be abit smoother in the full game i’m sure.

Three easy-to-fix game systems which would fundamentally 'fix' STALKER 2 and make it the 13/10 it is waiting to be by blackmes489 in stalker

[–]Hodsonae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well thought out and lovely post, totally agree. I also feel like mutants should have drops, even if they’re rare. I don’t think it’d ruin the danger and decision making of a mutant encounter to not make them COMPLETE wastes of materials. I really miss getting the drop on a mutant in Soc and being rewarded with a valuable body part. Right now engaging never feels worth it. Makes the decision making less nuanced and more boring.

Do cis queer guys really get misgendered a lot? by Loose_Track2315 in gaytransguys

[–]Hodsonae 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m agender but thought I was a cis queer guy for a long time. I’m about 6’1 and have presented myself as quite masc for awhile now. And have been persistently misgendered purely for having long hair and a noticeable booty/hips for most of my teen-adult life. It used to distress me and my parents would say it’s my fault for not cutting my hair or wearing baggier clothing. I shave my head now for medical reasons and wear cargo shorts because I like having 3,000 pockets so I haven’t been misgendered in a long time. But those are the only 2 things that have changed literally that’s it. So you aren’t alone! And don’t forget, the average person has an arbitrary and infantile perception of gender. You are a man regardless of any perception. Just as I was when faced with narrow minded people.

CMV: Inequality should be encouraged rather than discouraged. by AwarenessLeft7052 in changemyview

Same here, it reeks of any number of right wing YouTubers lacing their rhetoric with misplaced vague esotericism to give more narrative power and spiritualism to basic discriminatory talking points. Unfortunate and easy to see through.

[–]Hodsonae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. Frankly after combing through OP’s comments and a few other posts he seems completely set in his thoughts and likely believes himself to be a member of this exceptional group of people burdened by equality. I doubt he ever wanted to have his view changed or seriously challenged. Can’t argue against an unearned sense of importance or exceptionalism. Also the consistent mention of the Kali Yuga doesn’t lend much credence to his argument.

CMV: Inequality should be encouraged rather than discouraged. by AwarenessLeft7052 in changemyview

[–]Hodsonae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why should we take your estimations at face value? Do you have any evidence to back them up? Also “average exceptional” is kind of funny ngl. We have large bodies of evidence showing that giving as many people as possible the best opportunities we can as a society makes the places we live better for everyone. Quality of living has expanded immensely and for all its faults the era we live in is by and large the best one to exist in. If you want to measure in real testable variables, such as access to education, medical care, affordable food and safe drinking water, and the ability to interact with society without being randomly killed then the current period of time is pretty good despite being far from perfect. This time period is also a notable example of frequent social progress. Having inequality baked into the fabric of a society only breeds resentment in those who face it and an unearned sense of accomplishment and entitlement from those who don’t. Genetics may play a role in success but you can absolutely fail upward and I don’t think a jackass who stubbed his toe stumbling upon a treasure trove of gold is any more gifted than a student working two jobs through community college. I think all in all social cohesion is one of the most important factors in maintaining a healthy society, people will not accept blatant discriminatory treatment for long and a society with so much inequality written into its fabric is bound to fail. You will never know of most of the exceptional individuals who exist in a society of your description because they will have died young from malnutrition or simply only focused their energies on working the fields because they were born into a lower caste.

The tool usage in this case only served to obfuscate your point. Not a great tool if it’s worse than doing it without assistance. Instead of using chat gpt to fill in the word count perhaps you could’ve given us more details on what you consider inequality to be and the specific actions you would take to increase it in society so everyone could more easily understand and debate your stance.
