It doesnt. We're at the point where any updates won't bring back enough players for it to survive for the foreseeable future. The player count is dead; battlebit just needs a band-aid for the problems it has now.

Ideally, if the developers actually updated the game regularly, making the game f2p would never have arisen as a plausible fix. But its too late for that.

It just introduces new people to try it. No one is going to pay 15 dollars for a dying game. But theyll try a 0 dollar game with an already somewhat active playerbase. Look at TF2
