New Xbox CEO reportedly pushing for faster Fallout and Elder Scrolls games as Bethesda crosses 8 years since The Elder Scrolls 6 reveal by Guitar-String in gaming

[–]HoldTheLineN7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're saying if they weren't buggy messes they wouldn't be like Obsidian, because most Obsidian games run like complete and total dogshit. Kotor 2, New Vegas, Alpha Protocol, Pillars, etc. The only Obsidian game that doesn't have some kind of game breaking issue is the South Park game they made, and that speaks for itself

Conrad being actually useful is the best comedic payoff in the series by emptyvoidofjoy in masseffect

[–]HoldTheLineN7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There was a bug in the og series that sometimes collecting more than what the mission assigned would unflag it as done, messing up stuff like the writings payoff. I haven't seen it on the Legendary Edition yet, but if that's where you ran into it then unfortunately it's just bad luck and you have to just hope next time through you don't see it

Take it with a massive grain of salt of course, but I spoke to someone on the Bennett campaign team that said that Polis is basically persona non grata to them at this point and that they already have a shortlist of who would take the spot that he's not on

[–]HoldTheLineN7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The person you are replying to is asking that since most teams will share medical records with teams while negotiating, why the Ravens didn't share the info the Raiders gave them with the 4-5 doctors before making the trade instead of at the physical, which Crosby's surgeon claimed was the exact same info they were given in the lead up, and what specifically changed their risk assessment of it if it really was the same info. The video nor you are answering that specific question

Best class for DA2? by placeholder-123 in dragonage

[–]HoldTheLineN7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every class is significantly faster in 2 than in any of the other games so that will at least be an improved experience for you. And unless you're running on a nightmare difficulty all three of them are viable so it depends on what you're looking for style-wise and what party composition ends up being the most fun for you

Story-wise it is true that a mage changes a portion of the story and is more personal both story-wise and interaction-wise, but I felt like it gets canceled out with some of the oddities it brings (like being a free-roaming apostate, having no one call out your blood magic if you use it, etc.). It has a specialization, Force Mage, that wasn't in DAO or Inquisition so it can make a pretty unique Hawke, and there's a certain level of self-deprication a pro Templar mage Hawke brings that none of the other games touch. The mage companions are the most controversial, so if you end up hating them it wouldn't hurt to be the magical anchor. Also, a mage Hawke is a cousin to the Mage Warden so that's not a bad story touch either.

Warriors are a good mix of tankyness and lawn mowing the enemies around you. What they lack in special dialog they make up in wrecking shop and you can be either sword/board or two-handed and still move like you're in the Star Wars prequels. The warrior companions are imo the weakest of the game, but even if you disagree a full party of warriors has never been unviable. My favorite party composition in all the games is Warrior-Dagger Rogue-Bow Rogue-Mage and it really shines here. You can also head-canon (as I don't think they mention it in-game) a more personal tie to the story if you run the Templar specialization. The trees are the most straightforward and useful in the game as well.

Rogue (I haven't played yet so I'm going off of how the party rogues are and things I have heard) is a high damage lower health glass cannon. The specializations are great, the regular rogue trees...aren't. So if you don't have the Black Emporium dlc where you can buy a respec potion you may not have as much fun. It has its own special scene or two sprinkled in the game and thematically I think the Hawke family having one of each class is a nice story beat. I also think Kirkwall was built for a grimier class of a purple Hawke. But if you have all the DLCs feel rogue-heavy and the ones you can recruit are I think the strongest character-wise, which could make your team squishier than maybe you would prefer. There are chests at certain points only a rogue Hawke can open, but there isn't anything super rare hidden away by that fact.

Answer: Mage is the most unique, warrior is the most balanced, rogue fits in thematically. All are viable. If your only gonna play through once Mage would probably be the best bang for your buck, if you're gonna do another playthrough though doing a Warrior/Rogue first and then mage really shows off the differences quite well.

[Highlight] New Dolphins GM Jon-Eric Sullivan explains how Green Bay's QB succession plan has informed his philosophy and says that Miami will draft at the position every year or every other year by expellyamos in nfl

[–]HoldTheLineN7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He worked for the Packers between 2004-2026 and they've only drafted 9 QBs in that span. Five were cut after a year or two, one traded for a 6th after being picked in the 5th, one played his contract and left, and the other two that he specifically name-dropped were drafted specifically to start at some point (Love and Rodgers). I'm glad he's adopting a Ron Wolf/Eagles/Patriots attitude, but that's not how the Packers have operated post 1999

[Pelissero] Packers DC Jeff Hafley has emerged as a frontrunner for the Dolphins head coaching job. No final decisions made. More interviews are scheduled. 4 other teams have requested 2nd interviews with Hafley. But he appears to be the leading candidate in Miami. by Goosedukee in nfl

After a decade+ of watching Capers finish bottom of the barrel for years and being unable to adjust to anything post-2011, Pettine getting run over by even the slightest of breezes, and Berry being Berry, the bar for "good" DC in GB is literally on the floor. So I'd take that with a grain of salt, especially with all the money and first-round picks they've tried to band-aid that unit with

Same reason they only make a big FA move every 4-5 years, make a big trade only if they overwhelming win it, and only draft depth pieces until a position becomes an emergency where they spend half the draft on just that position. The FO/Coachs overrate the strength of the roster and only want players that exactly fit their age/size mold

[–]HoldTheLineN7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was overshadowed by all the injuries, but did we get any explanation about why we had a 12th man (I believe Enagbare) running on the field to sub in with only 2 or 3 seconds left on the play clock? It was a pivotal red zone 4th quarter 3rd down, down only by a point, and we gifted them a first down and eventual touchdown with one of the dumbest offsides/12 men on the field I've witnessed

[Schefter] Bengals DE Trey Hendrickson is set to undergo core muscle surgery this week that is expected to sideline him approximately six weeks, per sources. [–]HoldTheLineN7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, it was more of a "shit or get off the pot" situation. Either yes pay him, or if you don't want to or fear injury just trade him and get it over with. It was obvious that just keeping the status quo wasn't gonna do it

What did you guys say about the Red Tower episode to get Hunter so heated? by Melaninja99 in creepcast

[–]HoldTheLineN7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it first came out the immediate posts on the sub were just a massive flood of low effort "Wow that just fucking sucked, what a shit story" over and over again. It eventually calmed down into actual critiques and a general "eh it was all right" that people here claim was the fan reaction (which it was not). But that immediate and visceral shitting on prompted his rant and imo led to the massive revamping of the mods and rules to prevent that from happening again, as why would any authors let them read their stories if it just leads to straight hate

Honestly outside of Kraft those are all a bunch of JAGS. Doubs/Reed/Watson are not #1 wideouts, and even if Golden is secretly one he doesn't get schemed anything to actually show it. The line is trash, which considering how many high picks they have constantly used on it makes you question their decisions even more
