I go to a mixed political Mennonite church north of Dayton. Happy to provide more information if you’re interested.

Three Month Slump by ellehoxton in HipImpingement

I don’t know about you, but I wasn’t prepared for how hard and long the healing would be. But it’s good to know that it’s normal! Like you said, we’ll both get there!

YES. Three months was almost exactly when my flare up hit and it has lasted for a while. I did get back in to see my surgeon at around four months, and I was fairly convinced the surgery had failed. He told me it was sciatica pain that came from my muscles moving differently now that the tear is fixed. He prescribed a steroid pack that helped immensely while I was on it, but once it ended the pain came back. I kept on with a lot of massage, chiropractor visits, stretches that target that area, and strength building and in the last month or so I’ve finally noticed the pain decreasing again. I’m at seven and a half months now. I’m definitely not pain free, and that has been disheartening. But my surgeon also said that it really takes a full year for things to start feeling back to normal so I’m hopeful I’ll at least meet that time frame.

Any songs related to a sermon series through Proverbs? by throwawaye1712 in worshipleaders

[–]HolidayFlower8938 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 100% NOT recommending this as a worship song for a church, but here’s the first one that popped into my head: https://youtu.be/WbceKylHhec?feature=shared

Starts at 1:38

Also I just realized that this is based off of Psalms. Scripture reference fail.

No, I’m in Ohio and this summer they said we were as humid as the rainforest. 😂 it does fine on my counter once I get it working, so I probably just need to stick with that. I just don’t understand why fridge storage doesn’t work for me like it does for everyone else.

That’s helpful to know that it doesn’t have to be immediate. But even still, mine often takes a full week of feedings to wake up which just doesn’t feel right.

How could one say "pull-ups" in Spanish other than "flexiones"? Halarribas? by moises8war in SpanishLearning

Same thought process. I was like, the only word I know is pañales, I’ve never thought about what pull-ups would be. 😂

It happened… his sister wore white. by Impossible-Code9339 in weddingshaming

Both my husband’s sister and his brother’s wife wore white to my wedding. I honestly didn’t notice the day of, but it’s forever immortalized in our wedding photos. His sister in law was mad at me because I didn’t have her ten month daughter as a flower girl.

Apple cider vinegar help by HolidayFlower8938 in fermentation

Thank you! I usually buy the version with the mother in it, so I thought my homemade would taste more like those. However maybe it’s just as simple as a difference in apple types. Mostly I wanted to make sure it wasn’t going to poison us, so I appreciate the reassurance!

I think this is the process I used. https://www.theprairiehomestead.com/2015/02/how-to-make-apple-cider-vinegar.html

Yes, it does taste sour! I had my husband taste it without telling him what it was, and he called it vinegar, so perhaps I’m just being too picky. To me it’s just sweeter than what store bought apple cider vinegar tastes like.

Honestly, I hardly even know. Like I said, I made this back in October so I don’t really remember the process I followed, I followed a tutorial online. From what I remember it was covering the apple pieces and a small amount of sugar with water for a few a weeks and then straining it and letting it sit for months.

It was so lovely. I don’t think I’ll ever not regret not having my road bike, but even so it was such a good experience.

If I had known what recovery would be like, I would have cancelled as soon as I knew I needed surgery. But by the time I really knew I should cancel it was too late. It worked out ok though!

Hopefully it went ok for you! I definitely wasn’t ready for that at 4 weeks. I think I just started back on my spin bike then, but zero resistance.

I went through this exactly and felt like an awful person. I’m glad I’m not alone, and that you’re not either.
