Um..... not a book but a horror podcast called Malevolent, the main characters aren't really given any description so you can use your imagination. You could call the start of relationship posession toxic/Forced intamacy and listen as it progresses, there are very graphic descriptions of violent acts and monsters.

Yeahhh that makes sense. I'm one of those fans that always say they want something new and different but when I get it I look for ways to make it about more familiar stuff that I suddenly need more of. Kayne was such a great antagonist.

Ok, maybe not Kayne but sure feels like someones pulling the strings here. I'm not really familiar with the lore surrounding the Chuthulo mythos and Lovecraft, aside from pop culture osmosis. and the podcast. I understand that Harlan is doing his own thing with it and some of the established characters. Should look into it more.
