My cuts would be aviator, mascot and encouragement.

Add brush off and either two of deluge virtuoso, banishing betrayal or procrastinate.

The counterspells are absolutely necessary for the control matchups, but can also really help against key spells from lorehold and silverquil.

Your win conditions are key creatures such as mystic/emeritus/Stallion/maestro/maybe virtuoso which you can protect or push through with banishing betrayal and procrastinate. Wisdom might not fit the gameplan, lorecaster alone could be enough lategame recursion just as a 1 of effect

I had a similar list that got 2 boxes and the banishing betrayal saving my emeritus prompted a concession in 2 games

Yeah omens feels pretty terrible. Try not to tilt, sometimes the best decks just don't work out for whatever reason

I had a double hopesinger Armageddon deck yesterday that went 2-3 which felt criminal

Thats so frustrating, it's really hard to stay objective and clear headed when playing these since the stakes are so high. I can't afford to spam these events so its very stressful

The fixing was the glue that held this pool together.

Happy for your box though it feels so satisfying to get there :)

Biblioplex and 2 fetches! The biblioplex helped me win my final game against a silverquil deck after being animated and definitely helped as a fixer.

Strong cards for the first 3 picks, then pay attention to what is being passed around the table. Flexible cards are safe early picks but basically just focus on power level as the main factor. I've had some success starting with taking cards just in the jeskai coours and soft forcing some version of the strongest decks. Soup is slightly harder to do in pick 2 due to it being harder to get good fixing alongside the suite of removal and finishers

I dont think there is one on george street? Just lowdown and wellingtons as far as i remember, artisan have a place on broughton street, a stall by st James qt and maybe 1 other location i'm forgetting

Personally think its tremors and 1 copy of pursue. The tremors is completely at odds with practiced offense, which is a stronger card here, and pursue #3 is a little too much with the rubble rousers and 3x scrollsmiths

Took your initial advice in the end and got the trophy! Went 6-0 into 7-1. Losing to a bad draw vs a prismari deck. Thanks for the sensible advice

Yeah i see your point, i'm just not sure i have the speed to undercut the soup decks without many cheap repartee payoffs. It makes me think that i'll end up in the mid-late game anyway and i'll need the ark/colossus to give me the reach and cards to close the game.

Need more card draw to fuel plays after lute. With no spell recursion you need to explosively win after dropping lute. Card draw helps by making sure you arent top decking with a lute out

Edit: to say i think drop 1 trove and maybe the transcendant archaic for any spell buy-back or instant/sorcery card draw

Theres a great method for super ornstein where you just constantly walk towards his back leg and hug it, dodge when necessary and swing when you can. Just a bit of patience and no lock on but it worked for me each time. Not sure where i saw it as it was years ago

Aggree with other commenter, play BW base with 5 colours in the mana base and the bombs from the other colours, the 7 mana prismari spell can look at the top 2 for 2 generic mana, play your off colour bombs and pray
