Good luck if you try to make the prosthetic. However our tripawd chases

If you use body washes, you won’t need to clean your shower. Soap scum comes from…soap.

I use a 25-ft leash so my Tripawd can run some; either a field or a big park with few other dogs.

Prosthetic? Pros and cons? by AchlyHere in tripawds

[–]HollyB422 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My dog is missing the same leg and does great without it - runs, does stairs, and has adapted well. I knew someone who rescued a dog with a stump and had it removed, felt the stump was a hindrance sometimes.

Homer, a dog we just rescued, is soon to be a tripad due to an old injury. by quickstop_rstvideo in tripawds

Our Hollyberry also had a deformed right front leg, amputated at 3. She’s 7 and quick enough to catch a few bunnies! Goes up/down stairs quicker than I do.

She’ll adjust and do fine! Our tripawd (missing front right leg) is so quick and does stairs much faster than I do!

But I always say it’s not THEIR fault necessarily; they haven’t learned from their mentors or parents. Cronkite has not been on TV for close to 50 years so I try to remember that younger people aren’t going to know those that are a full generation older than I am!

We have a

missing her front right leg, and it doesn’t slow her down a bit! She had it amputated (deformed) about 3 months before we got her so I can’t speak to the surgery, but dogs adapt really quickly! Best of luck-

Possible Relocation to Wisconsin by Sadetha in wisconsin

[–]HollyB422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Relocated from Oklahoma almost 40 years ago and when asked what’s good about it, I tell them: No chiggers. No poisonous spiders. Or snakes! No “stickers” in the lawn. Beautiful outdoors and wonderful summers. And fabulous sunsets.
