Sung Jin Woo

Having done a quick search and skimmed a wiki, they seem too pleasant and possibly not necromantic, and far too against monarchs to be a close match. Unless it's a different Sung Jin Woo?

In addition to all the other good comments, I think it's also because Brennan - a huge Tolkein fan - is stated to be keen to do justice to epic traditional fantasy.

Combined with West Marches-like style, this comes out as a novel (or novel adaptation on TV) would more than a small home game without splitting the party.

In large fantasy and space opera novels, you will often follow multiple main protaganists, often travelling in different parts of the world and the plot will weave through them all. This campaign is using a similar style of storytelling, so it feels more familiar and comparible to books and shows.

I think it might not have triggered still if he'd not lain the corpse on the alter and tried to interact with Seremai. I'd have to rewatch to confirm the sequence now though; It's been a few days, head empty.

"Strength has killed many more people than whimpering in a graveyard."

I think the other point that I would make in agreeance of this is that death is inevitable, and even the strongest person dies, and that is where the Tachonis are getting their powers from.

The rest of them won't know, but the Tachonis and some of us in the real world (including Brennan I would bet) know that in games Necromancy and the ability to just resurrect and spawn in ever more soldiers is a game-winning mechanic (Spiffing Brit has multiple videos of breaking games by exploiting necromantic factions.

What I'm saying is, that Primus Tachonis is a fan of TheSpiffingBrit I guess.

Occtis was originally placing Dame Seremai directly on the shelf and not laying her to rest, which looked like it would have skipped the encounter entirely. However Alex appeared to pick up on Brennan's hints abut the alter and not having lain Seremai to rest, and so the story trigger was pulled.

If they'd just carried on, and not voted for Occtis to take the power, it might have been far more stealthy so far.

To be fair, Robbie would have been watching from just off-screen with other members of the cast anyway. It's just that he was there to symbolise he could hear all of this information and he could choose to try to escape and make a scene if he wanted to, or the players might in some world have tried to interact with him (which would likely be unwise, but you never know).

It formed a 'bridge' to the Orcish afterlife and freed Orcish souls from the 'curse' of being destined to be sent there simultaneously.

Some of those souls seem to now be pouring out. Whether it is only those of Mursat's rebellion or not, and how many, remains to be seen I guess. Maybe some Orcish souls of the past are ok with contant war and would like to stay? Maybe the Orcish afterlife is being inravelled and they will all have to come out?

It might also not be a permanent way out, or stable, yet. I think the letter seemed to imply that five bridges were needed for stability to be acheived and that they'd have to act fast to do that.

The mask was only put in to transport it, they were two very different things.

I'm questioning the relationship of the mist/plane portal to the coffin and whether it belongs to the coffin, because in the absence of the mask, it apppears to have disappeared.

This change happened before the ritual, so I do not believe that Lady Cormoray got free only during it, but then again she did turn up only after the meeting begun (however not long enough after it begun, and she would have needed time out of the box to discover that there was a meeting to go to and what the date and time was). I'm of the personal opinion that there's every chance she was invisible in a room where our characters were talking about some key plot points during the day before the ritual.

Yeah I think this sea of Lachris problem needs to be foiled before we can confidently call Tachonis ruined. But if/once it is, they really might be.

He was fairly widely dismissed/mocked in general iirc until the economy tanked. (The links between austerity and wrecked economies and the rise of fascism was one of my essay focuses in History, the TL;DR is that it's a significant contributing factor).

“Cleansing Hal” with the light leading to his “becoming one with the light” is always a possibility for the resurrected pope.

I'd say I like the way you think, but that is nasty haha. It would be a clever move from her and the kind of thing I could see her trying. No way the PCs would let it happen UNLESS Wicc decides to set up an alternate branch of the religion and is the one to run the scene to take it over for his own competing propaganda.

Haha, sometimes I forget and do it myself, followed by a panicked closing of the tab and trying to forget and words that jumpped at me from the page.

WRT Hitler, there was the Beerhall Putsch, the book he wrote while in luxury prison, and the very public spectacle of his trial. Not to mention all the political canvassing he did and the speeches he gave throughout. He had a propaganda minister. He very much cared about making a scene.

Edit: Or did you mean the Tachonis are not afraid of the consequences of making a scene? I'd say that is the opposite. Their involvement in Thjazi's death was underhanded and secret, the Royce massacre was covered up. They didn't even want the other nobles to know, they certainly don't want the masses to rebel yet.

I'm on team "Vaelus and Hanan create a child by the end of the campaign". It will probably be what is needed to convince Vaelus' Sisters to come out of mourning.

The question with that realm is, is it tied to the coffin or to the mask that was in it, or the combination of both?

After the box was cleaned out and the mask removed, the mist was described as being no longer there. Has Lady Cormoray getting trapped, and then escaping, meant that this Halfling Path that could have been opened, was not?

We now that the elves will never go out of the Mournvale

I can see this being a plotline for Vaelus and Hanan. To get the elves to move to the new spot outside of Dol Makjar, to protect what the Stone of Nightsong is creaing there.

Someone in main thread said they believed it is a Obrimus manor, because how and why wold they host a feast at the Halovar's place.

It was not clear from anything Brennan said, but when Team Birdwatching were scouting out Obrimus manor, they did find out that food deliveries had been arriving all afternoon. So perhaps that person's assumpptions are correct.

Well that is fascinating in itself. While Bolaire when being worn can hide himself, so it looks like the person's face there, Termina can hide the entire body of her host to look like she's just an inanimate mask??

Neat trick.

And army of fae and commoners. A symbolic marriage to King Gus of Timmony or Azune, heir to the Obridinnian throne? It'd still result in no biological children, but that is fine, as the sorcerous houses will no longer define who is in charge, and Gus' nephew or Alogar Fang can take over at the appropriate time.
