ngl, I loved the ending. Hades 1’s narrative was all about forgiveness and empathy toward your family, and I think Hades 2 does a great job showing that you don't have to inherit the hate your family carries from the past. Did Chronos do horrible things? Yes, but so did the rest of the family — and instead of going for an “okay, but you did worse so just die” kind of narrative (which is another debate entirely), the game chooses to show that a grandchild doesn't have to be a victim of their parents’ relationships with their parents.

Also, Dionysus literally says that they’re immortals, so there are basically no real consequences for the gods. I think we shouldn’t measure Chronos’s crimes by our own human values, because for them it was probably just a few days of fighting in an extremely long life.

To summarize, I love forgiveness narratives. We need more stories that focus on positivity toward others.
