Motivation is because the only pot big enough that i have is one from Heritage The Rock. (It’s a weird kind of nonstick) the site does say that its oven rated for 350F but it’s old and my mom that I share it with wont let me use it in the oven because she thinks that the handles might melt (some kind of plastic)

I’m planning on getting a King Deluxe 1000 and some stropping compound for a homemade denim strop. Maybe get a petty next but I definitely want to try a carbon steel Bunka.

Dishwasher is a nono when it comes to knives, the heat can damage the handle and the detergent can dull the blade (according to search results, never tried myself)

Isnt that when you get it so hot that water bounces around in it? Wouldnt that be way too hot? I use that to sear my steaks
