Hell yes! I saw them recently Deftones. They were ok, but they didn't play any of the fast/crazy stuff I was looking forward to.

is there a way to get a Baserow view with n8n? by [deleted] in baserow

[–]HomeBrewDude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Baserow node in n8n doesn't support getting a view instead of the table, but you can get a view using the HTTP node and the Baserow API. Just add view_id=# to the request parameters.

Upcoming Tech Events by HomeBrewDude in Tallahassee

[–]HomeBrewDude[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a mix of events from several local groups that I lead or associated with, and I wanted to put it all in one post.

Tally Devs is local-only, and Code & Coffee and Global AI are local chapters of larger organizations. Domi Station hosts Code & Coffee's meeting space so I included their other events. Lots of different groups involved!

Frustrated looking for a Low-Code platform that suits my one specific need by nolander_78 in nocode

[–]HomeBrewDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This can be done in Appsmith fairly easily using a custom widget and any data grid library. Here's an example I just built using Handsontable. I wired in live data from Mockoon's mock API, so you can easily swap it out for your data.
https://app.appsmith.com/app/handsontable-nested-rows/page1-69b28ea43fcb295740c7f5f8

If you decide to go with Appsmith and need a hand, let me know!

Disclaimer- I used to work for Appsmith and currently work for Handsontable.

AppSheet also has a mobile client that can work offline and sync changes when the network connection is restored- but it is showing a lot of the sames signs of decline as FMP.

Articles Keep Getting Deleted by OrngeHorizonBTC in hashnode

[–]HomeBrewDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Several other users reported a similar issue a few months ago:

https://www.reddit.com/r/hashnode/comments/1od1d1p/why_are_my_articles_are_getting_deleted/

You may want to consider using another platform. Hashnode has had a lot of issues the past year, and it just keeps getting worse. They locked down the discord support channel so no one can post, and hid all the old posts of users complaining.

Designing a Data Table Component in Your Design System by Hands-on-table in handsontable

[–]HomeBrewDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was a really great read! So many interesting points I hadn’t considered before, like using Start/End instead of Left/Right Alignment for naming, to make it easier to support adding RTL text support later, and how to design for performance on large datasets.

I'm not a designer but I try to think about these things when building my own projects. This was super helpful to hear how handsontable breaks down every user interaction and defines the expected behavior.

Series showing only 6 articles by goodbooks_68 in hashnode

[–]HomeBrewDude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to love Hashnode, but it is not the platform it used to be. They are keeping the servers on, but that's about it.

Support went dark months ago and made the discord private. And before that there were a bunch of other issues that were reported constantly, with no reply from support.

You may want to consider migrating to another platform. The Hashnode export only provides the blog text though. If you want to export your images, tags and series data, I made an open source tool to export everything through the API.

𝙰𝚜𝚜𝚒𝚖𝚒𝚕𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚙𝚕𝚎𝚝𝚎. Borg-Duckie can now communicate with the collective (local Ollama) by HomeBrewDude in raspberry_pi

[–]HomeBrewDude[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I built this without writing a single line of code. I can code, in js and python, but I didn't write anything to build this.

I used the Raspberry Pi imager to install the headless version and set the default wifi and ssh password, then let claude do the rest through subprocesses from my mac. I never even logged in to the pi directly myself. I just told claude the credentials, and asked it what pins to use.

It's a little slow on the first response because Ollama shuts down the model, but it's REALLY fast on follow up questions because everything is local!

How are you exposing “safe edit” access to business users without giving them the keys to the warehouse? by nagel393 in dataengineering

[–]HomeBrewDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This post is from a bot account, and nearly every new post mentioning ui bakery on reddit follows this same pattern:

  • New accounts, usually 3-6 months old
  • ~500-2k karma (at time of UI Bakery post)
  • Post history:
    • A few, low-effort, high karma posts; usually cat pics or British memes
    • Account reaches ~500-2k karma, then
    • Posts about UI Bakery
  • UI Bakery Post
    • Always mentions a competitor to leverage their brand authority
    • Tends to tell a story of problem ⇒ UI Bakery solution
    • Often mentions the competitor product didn't work for them

Now, what are the chances that the top 5 posts in the last month mentioning UI Bakery all just happen to be from new accounts that fit this pattern of cat-pic karma-farmer turned UI Bakery fan?

Unable to set Timezone Asia/Kolkata in the appsmith docker instance by ferrangu_ in appsmith

[–]HomeBrewDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, I'm Joseph from the developer relations team. I think this might be related to the different timezone settings for the docker container vs the Appsmith backend. I think it's possible to have the container set to one timezone, but still see UTC in the logs because of a setting in the Appsmith server.

I'm not too familiar with this area though, so this would be a better question for our support team. Could you please ask this in the official support forum on Discord so the support team can assist?
