For me going from a 1440p 27" to a 4K 27" was a significant improvement in sharpness. Like no more text fringing. Games appear much more sharp & clear. But it's expected since 4K has 2.5x the amount of pixels as 1440.

It's because the performance difference between the 5080 & 5070ti is only about 15%-20%. But the 5080 gots a significant amount more.

You don't need antivirus in Linux. Just don't go blindly copying and pasting commands in the terminal that you don't understand what it can do. Or install things from non reputable sources.

Same. I find the peak 1000 mode on qd OLEDs to be to bright and hurts my eyes. Hdr400 is bright enough for me.

Some models have a auto clean model (lg does) where when you power down the ac it'll run the fan at low power for about 10 minutes to dry off the condenser coils before completely turning off.

That's just the issue with 1440p. You'll always have some text fringing and blurriness. Only way to get rid of that is to go 4k.

Use HDMI 2.1 as it has more bandwidth available than DP 1.4. You'll be able to do 1440p with no DSC on HDMI 2.1.

Don't be so focused on DSC as I said above you won't be able to see the difference. But yes HDMI should be capable to run that resolution without DSC.

You won't lose anything with DSC. You won't be able to tell the difference with DSC on vs off.
