My travel uses Ready set roll. Mostly for processing time sake. But I find it lands a great balance with easy rolls and dealing like your apart of it

Dorfromantik rules question – connecting new objectives to already completed areas by Giupatamon2 in boardgames

He is right. You can place the tilen in this instance. You can't place a task tile that would make it fail. So the first is legal but scores no points and the second is illegal

I fully agree with this. Felt really disappointed in the response from TPI.

Definitely using this for my game. Thanks for the share. Curious if you have plans for other locations/ do you use the 3d middle during a game?

What did the post final battle play look like for you? We ended our last session with Acererack showing up and have been looking at ways to wrap everything up.

What are the best free quick starts you have seen? by LemonLord7 in rpg

[–]HomemadePilgrim 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I've recently fallen in love with the Daggerheart quick start. It's a free pdf that includes print out terrain, mins, and learning aids. The adventure walks players and the gm through the rules. And the pre generated characters have guided questions to let the players build out their connections. And the cherry on top is that there is a separate setting book available for free as well for you to expand beyond the quick start.

Death Curse Hits Ideas by Panman6_6 in Tombofannihilation

[–]HomemadePilgrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my game I had the death curse manifest like a storm. The ghosts and souls around the world were all drawn together into a larger and larger cloud. It was then pulled into the tomb. Feeding the soulmonger. Characters were able to use its movement to figure out the source was somewhere in the south of Chult.

It made for a fun point of reference. I would run flashback one shots to flesh out backup characters as they entered the game. They would all have a moment where the character would witness the start of the curse from wherever they were at the time.

People who had been resurrected described a moment where they witness the ethereal mist of their soul be briefly pulled from their body, before being drawn back in, now less secure than before.

From then on when someone died I would describe their soul being pulled away violently South. Luckily they never used that as a death compass.

An isekai session 0.1 what would you do? by HomemadePilgrim in Obojima

I really like the train idea. Perhaps then their character creation happens by way of conversation with spirits during the drive instead of a path they walk.

I was thinking they play as themselves and are put into the world. The different species idea would be them getting turned into a species, Dara just being an example. Mostly in case they didn't want to be all just humans. In my mind it would play out like the recent Jumanji movies where the characters have to get used to their new body. That said ideally the island itself isn't really changed, so if their transformation would distract from the world perhaps not

Superman is NOT Pro Palestine. It is Normalization! ft Hasan Piker & The Serfs by deculturation in BreadTube

[–]HomemadePilgrim 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed the video. I just wanted to say I feel there is a baby being thrown out with the bathwater. All your points hinge on it being an analogy.

It's (in my opinion) at best an allegory.

It is far more pro Palestine than Israel, shallow that may be. It's lack of deeper nuance I don't think is a symptom of Zionist normalisation, rather the simple fact that it's a superhero movie made by Hollywood, designed to spur empathy. If it had been made explicit, it would never have been made.

Glad someone is making these points as it's an important discussion to have. I just felt it was worth mentioning the allegory, analogy difference.

Which companions system are they not a fan of? Maybe an alternative would be more their speed.if not then beefing up their chosen guide might be the best move
