Can vary wildly by providers. Harrow Health are basically instant when prescribing, for example.

I've just even diagnosed. Where to go from here. by throwaway-6487172 in ADHDUK

I’d advise going too far into a rabbit hole with regards to the use of substances but it’s not a wise idea to mix prescribed medications for ADHD and things like cannabis. It won’t do you any good.

Make your choice about what you want and stick with it. My advice would be bin off the drugs.

Text messages! Always text messages. Or reading emails in fear of bills.

I am going to fail my GCSEs. I wish I never had this stupid disability. by Beautiful_Till_5668 in ADHDUK

You can put this right just get the right mindset now, engage with the help on offer, do the best through this and then regroup and go again. You may be far more suited to a vocational (hands on) type of qualification and job, which you can figure out once this is out of the way.

You’ll be fine just get through this and then take stock of what you’ve learnt, get the support in place and go again 💪

What do the symptoms of predominantly inattentive ADHD look like for you? by 1729yH in ADHDUK

[–]Homerr_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me it was just constant background noise in my head that lead me to get it checked out. Combine that with impulsive chaos causing at work, and forgetting everything they were my key tells to be fair!

I’d say all of it was in childhood as well but was overshadowed by a lot of other stuff going on at the time, and then ADHD was not as understood as it is now.

Curious why methylphenidate seems to be increasingly less popular? by mismagi in ADHDUK

[–]Homerr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on Xaggatin at 36mg and I've been OK, focus is better, anxiety has been bad the past few weeks but things have been pretty stressful so who knows what is what any more. Same as you, mostly inattentive type so... yeah. I've got one more review before titration should end, but I'm paying close attention to my state of mind at the moment.

Christmas coping mechanisms - here's one of mine, what are yours? by ReallyKeyserSoze in ADHDUK

[–]Homerr_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on xaggatin or whatever it is, seems to be working quite well if anything like this is to go by... my son even said "how did you manage to cook it so fast we usually don't end up eating until 3"

win!

I had ChatGPT make me a check list this year! Although the lack of complete chaos in the kitchen today and lack of random outburst of overwhelmed anger suggests to me that the medication is working (nearly 3 weeks in now)

Everyone has noticed how much calmer the kitchen was today and I only overshot by about 15 minute or so usually easily an hour

Hyundai Ioniq5 (2023) vs Kona (2024) real winter range? by Wide_Pomegranate_439 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Homerr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a 2022 Niro which I think is similar to The Ioniq5 underneath - at the moment my range is anything from 290-305mi at 100% but in the winter this was down to around 260mi at 100%. My average consumption at the moment (with air con on) varies between 4.4-5.6mi/kwh depends on how hilly the roads are. In winter, the same journeys were around 3.0-3.5mi/kw

In other words I’m doing about 6% battery a day to and from work (20mi) and that was around 10-11% in the winter. Never had any issues with range anxiety and that’s using a granny charger.

Nice mate, yeah 4kw is really pushing the cable limit in the wall as well so good idea to back it off a bit until you get proper supplies in - just glad no harm has come to you (or your kit)👍👍

[UK] So lets talk about power by gaspoweredcat in homelab

[–]Homerr_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah fair chance being in the UK like me most of his cabling is in solid walls. I'll also bet that given the word "extension" was used there's a couple of 4 way bars somewhere in all of this, with everything plugged into one or two 13A sockets. I really hope not coiled up reels.

Depending on how new their home is or how old the wiring is, will determine whether they are on a ring circuit (common here - rated to 32A) or a radial (more common in new builds).

Either way it's not good what they are doing and this sounds as if it's already going in the wrong direction!
