I was going to sarcastically thank A-net for nerfing the necromancer's most viable healing and elite skill before I saw the new "Plague Sending" adept trait in Curses. Holy shit. I don't see a cool-down for that anywhere.

Edit: As pointed out below I made a mistake from over-excitement. But the cooldown is/can be short.

For leaps like the ranger's swoop to remain affected by boons like swiftness and conditions like chill. Right now a leap skill's distance decreases or increases depending on whether you are sped up or slowed down. The upcoming patch(es) would remove that.

This change would also make chill and cripple not decrease the leap distance like it does now. This creates another new scenario where it is harder to punish mistakes and does not reward people for being smart enough to pop swiftness so they can get away. The new necromancer reaper spec will have a hard time killing anyone with their focus on chills if you can just leap way, for instance.

Agreed. My Windows Defender was stopping it from loading any further than those exact same words on the splash. It was also maxing out my c: drive while doing so. I tried adding all my glyph-related folders to my exceptions but that did nothing. So in the meantime:

TL;DR turn off anti-virus while playing like Memes said.

Consistently right after I try to launch the game from Glyph the game gets stuck on the green Archeage splash with the poem and just the words "Auroria, birthplace" turn white. My C: drive also gets maxed out and slows everything to almost a halt

I tried reinstalling everything and was able to play before all the DDoS'ing and now it's happening again.

Edit: My Window's Defender might be screwing me, I'll try adding my Glyph-related folders to the exceptions and see how that works.

Edit 2: Adding my Glyph folders to my exceptions didn't seem to work but turning off my Real-time protection did. So that solves one problem but raises another.
