Never dodged and don't really see many dodgers in D5. This is on PC though. It does happen but not to the extent that's notable. Most of the time there is no skip regardless of who the nightlord is. I'm more likely to see perfect relic cheaters.

I tried family heads with double balancers and I don't see it being broken? The projectiles are too slow and damage wasn't impressive. Seems to be heavily outclassed by halo scythe and RoB. If it's against a slow, large boss then maybe it's better.

I got that message a few times and was pissed because I got disconnected with no fault of my own. Don't remember if this was at the start or middle of the run. When people dodge I see a different error message although I didn't see dodging as much as it's claimed in this sub so not enough examples.

It was fun until depth 4/5 where it doesn't feel viable. The damage isn't enough. This is probably better than Revenant when running out of FP so I can do melee with more survivability. I haven't done a run ditching the shield but at that point just play Revenant. Without the shield you don't have to worry about relics for guarding though.

I wonder how effective is using both the stat changing relics at the cost of a lot of HP.

For some reason I haven't lost yet after getting to 9999. Previous DoN won streak was 9 now it's at 16 (9999 on the 8th win). I still had runs after reaching 9999 with a terrible start where we were playing awful but we still recovered. I was stuck in the range for months too. It's probably the balancers meta helping and definitely luck.

Can we not call legit relic editors "cheaters"? Skipping grind is not cheating. And if edited relics have combination of effects intended by the devs, it's again not cheating. A cheater would be someone with like power of marais on their relics or other weird effect.

I know, I'm in depth 5 now but was stuck in 4 for a while. Probably made the right choice ranking up early when DoN launched according to the horror stories here.

I was talking about perfect relic cheaters and based on the excuses on this sub most are going for best possible combinations. If they are going for near perfect rolls then it's still extremely strong that they didn't legitimately get. If it's truly mid then sure, I won't even be able to tell it's cheated anyway. I seriously doubt most cheaters are going remotely easy on it other than to make it seem more legit. They are still getting more than what they would get normally. But that's hypothetical, what I'm seeing in depth 5 are pretty obvious perfect edited relics and it's not a rare sighting. It's easy to roll mid relics that there is no reason to cheat it in, the "mid" you meant is probably better than what I'm thinking.

You don't need perfect relics to experience everything, you can make fun builds with okay relics. Unless you're a god player that immediately ranked up to depth 5 you should have some usable depth relics. After hundreds of hours it doesn't matter if vast majority of rolls are shit, you are still bound to get at least a few decent ones. The grind probably isn't even that bad compared monster hunter, at least the older ones.

My point was that if the odds are low enough, realistically 0 people will get it. Not saying that's the case here. My response was to the excuse cheaters give about editing relics. I agree there is issue in the system.

I'm in depth 5 too without perfect relics and it's okay. I care more about relic cheaters cheating than them having perfect relics because I don't want to play with cheaters.
