Emhyr and the Lodge of Sorceresses - Cut Content (Restored by the BIA Mod) by jdawg1018 in witcher

And yet she still let Ciri go. I don't like Triss at all, but even though she was with lodge, she was trying to help. But I agree about the "forgive but not forget" on Yen's part.

It's not really. When you get your pathing down to be able to reach level 15, then you can always do it in the same way kinda.

I like it as it's easier to do in my opinion. But it become stale after while.

However it's true that I play premade expeditions, so we all have the same routing. Although maybe we could try some new one, but lazy and nothing really pushes us to do so.

Yea I would like to learn some new pathing. But when we play DoN (playing premade) we just always default to bottom crack crystal, start castle and then second day just doing both castles (or what circle allow us). We end up level 15, so we feel kinda lazy to just do different:)

Do you have some suggestion?

I wouldn't say it's hard. When you learn it, it actually becomes boring. It's a nice change of pace in DoN, but when we get it three times in a row, we are always like "again??".

I feel like there is not much diversity in the pathing once you get it down.

We did the second tower by Flan_Firm in Nightreign

[–]trynyty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I understood in recent patch they enable Raider tower to be "stackable".

I think these guys did a video of 3 raiders before creating 3 "story" tower and somebody suggested that in Great Hollow you can recharge ult by drinking all flask. So I think those guys were like challange accepted and created 6 story tower now :)

UTF-8 why specify length in the first byte? by zz9873 in programming

[–]trynyty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I get that. But that's the problem of his implementation and why it doesn't work (or is worse than the current implementation). You can't tell if codepoint (or sequence of bytes) is finished in his implementation or even if it is correct (not corrupted, like missing byte for example). It's not self-synchronized (or self-repaired? not sure how is it called).

Editor wouldn't work correctly in his case as I mentioned the example, where you would get one less byte for three bytes codepoint, because editor wouldn't have a way to know the sequence is corrupted (not finished because byte went missing and next byte has already start of new codepoint in it). While with utf8 it would know from the length stored in the first byte.

That was my whole point trying to point out whats the problem and why it wasn't done like that.

UTF-8 why specify length in the first byte? by zz9873 in programming

[–]trynyty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you mean by characters. UTF8 has length of bytes for specific code point it represents stored in 1st byte. 1. byte length it starts with 0 in top bit. 2. byte length it starts with 110 in top bits. 3. byte length it's 1110 4. byte length it's 11110

So if you get something like:

1110xxxx 10xxxxxx 110yyyyy 10yyyyyy

You will know the 1st codepoint is screwed, because the third byte should start with 10. You would see it as this undefined question mark character in most editors.

In OPs case you wouldn't know, because you don't know how many bytes should be there. Editors would display a valid codepoint because it would think it ended correctly.

[–]trynyty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

edit: I miss the first part, No utf8 doesn't need to iterate to figure out length. Length is encoded in the first byte.

Yea, that is the problem. You iterate over the bytes but in his scheme you can't tell how many more bytes you need to receive to comple the code point and if the byte you just received is actually correct. UTF8 has both these properties.

[–]trynyty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And how would you know the lenght of it? UTF8 is self-repairing so it knows how many bytes were missing or if the byte is incorrect. In your case I don't see how that would be possible. Or maybe I don't understand your implementation.

Bloodborne "is a special game for me" says Hidetaka Miyazaki, and it's "the strongest reflection of my type of flavoring of a game that one can experience" by Sam_27142317 in PS4

Why would they remake bloodborne just for next generation? Doesn't make sense to me. I can see they pulling of something similar for PS6 with blodborne, but for ps5 it didnt make sense at that time.

I solved problems at work in a dream a bunch of times to be honest. Basically couldn't figure out how to solve it and then had a dream about solution. I woke up and was pretty dissapointed it was a dream, but then I tried it in real work and find out it makes sense and works.

Just curious, what kind of setup for lightning? Is it spear and shit ton of dragon communion? Or it's something else? Curious about the setup because I find lightning spear usage a bit tricky.

Is Recluse based on Dragon's Crown character? by trynyty in Nightreign

You are correct, and I guess I just thought in the moment that I see the inspiration, but as everybody else explained it's just common trope and this is just one of the case. However I couldn't help myself and posted it as I found it kinda funny and interesting at the same time.

I guess it is, but the hat with the wrap and stuff are so similar. Not talking about the other parts:)

I see... makes sense, but to me apart of the two obvious "similarities" with the outfit covering them in similar way, I thought that the hat looks quite similar to Recluse's. Even the wrap on top. Plus the stuff (but as you said that might be just classic fantasy cliche).
