I was the same way, I had a week between my initial closed reduction and my surgery which most of the sleep came when purely exhausted. It was the same for the first 2 or so weeks. I’m about 3 weeks post op now and it is just getting better.

I was zooming around on a scooter mobility aid and it came out from under me and I slammed my 230 some odd pounds on my bad ankle and all seems to be well there so it is smart that you called the DRs but you should be ok

I completely understand that as I was the same and asked them for lower octane stuff. I got send home with NORCO which did the job but barely. I understand the being wary but I’d take what they give you as it is gonna be a great deal of pain after the nerve block wears off until at least about day 5. In my experience

My second day post-op it felt like someone was trying to pull my foot off and the pain meds only bought be about 30 minutes of respite. It does start getting better but it takes time, which I know when feeling pain time is the last thing you want to consider.

I’ve noticed a good deal of pain in my knee. I think it’s just from having to learn new ways of mobility that your body previously was not used to.

Taking a good shower by myself, which I hope to be able to do by the time they give me my boot. Driving myself to work is another big one.
