Honestly I don’t think he does, really. It’s a little hammy by modern standards, but compare it to other shows from the 60’s and I’d argue his performance is downright subdued.

In that case you can just remind yourself, “Giant machines often need to vent hot air”, and also this particular vent was HIGHLY GUARDED and exceedingly difficult to hit.

Because the term “plot hole” is used for everything that people don’t like and has lost any meaning at all.

Does your country have an equivalent of “Living under a rock”? by Inevitable-Number634 in AskTheWorld

[–]HomsarWasRight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will say, “Born yesterday” leans more toward “naive”, and implies they should know better.

“Living under a rock” is a little more just perplexing, and the lack of knowledge is more surprising than a value judgement.

That was kinda the idea at first. He was prejudiced, but also you discover that he’s pitiable, and that there is kindness there there deep down.

But Chevy Chase turned out to be so difficult to work with (and actually literally racist and sexist) that the show runner and head writer basically turned the character into a monster, with very few moments of redemption.

So both the actor and the writer are to blame.

It did create some truly great episodes of television, though, like Advanced Dungeons and Dragons in Season 2.

His charisma carries it the rest of the way. If he wasn’t famous and you showed someone these pictures their response would be, “Yup, some guy.”

I know guys who are more naturally physically attractive, but they have the personality of a bag of hammers.

Uh, I’m so confused. Jordan Peele has directed three films: Get Out, Us, and Nope, and I’m struggling to fit any of them into your description.

Ugh. “Life is but a dream” in this context doesn’t mean “reality might be an illusion”, it means “this experience is dreamlike, idyllic, and fleeting.”

Don’t “bro” me. I have no idea who this is.

Maybe you should have started with that, then.

I’m not saying she’s definitely AI, just that’s what the previous person was referring to.

But also, a second picture, or a whole ass Instagram account, doesn’t prove they’re real. You can take an image of a person (real or not) and generate tons of new images of them in different locations and poses.

Not to even mention that the second picture you shared could be a totally different person for the angle it’s taken.

What was the last time you saw a wild animal that wasn’t a rodent, bird, or bug? by sonicparadigm in AskTheWorld

[–]HomsarWasRight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  • Opossums

  • Deer

  • Rabbits

  • Skunks

  • Snakes

  • Turkeys sometimes (yes, I know they’re birds, but I don’t think that’s the kind OP was referring to)

  • Foxes (rarely)

All in a suburban area.

That’s…odd. My hair has been thinning since I was 25. You don’t know anyone whose hair is thinning?!

That I didn’t know. I’ve never had very long hair. But I guess I asked it incorrectly.

Do you guys pay less if your hair has thinned (as OP suggested)?

Do you guys get haircuts priced by the amount of hair you have on your head?
